How long will it take me to master Korean? HELP

I´m getting tired of waiting endlessly for subs so I was thinking about learning Korean. Truthfully, I´m specialized in languages... I speak french, english and german but I never learned any language from Asia so I dont know how long it will take me honestly. I also heard Hangeul is super difficult for foreigners. And since I´m more auditive while learning languages, I dont know...

AreThere people who are speaking Korean or learning the language? Could you please give me some feedback? THANK YOU!!!

I have a friend who never learnt via a class but simply self-teaching. I wouldn't say she's fluent but she can understand most things, read, write and such. Many Korean people she has spoken to have told her that she is pretty good so yeah. I think it just depends on the way you learn and how well you pick up languages. Personally, I want to learn as well but I highly doubt I can manage myself- I'd need actual classes somehow LOL.

I'm using this site to study Korean right now, it only took me a couple of days to learn Hangul but I'm nowhere near being able to write a sentence -_- I'm going kinda slowly though lol I just want to take my time, I think it would take a while tbh but so far that site is pretty helpful for me.

It's worth giving it a shot! If it doesn't work out you can always seek a different method of learning :) I would encourage you to have someone who is Korean to converse with because my friend who learnt had two Korean friends who would help her 'practice' by texting in Korean and such. Best of luck!

A long time unless you move to korea and fully immerse yourself in the language.

I've been learning off and on for about four years and I'm still at like beginning-intermediate level  I honestly, just lack too much vocabulary and that really makes a difference. However, I barely studied 2013-2014...But, you're already trilingual so it might go much better for you

I highly recommend this app called HelloTalk

It's a language exchange system where you get to communicate/practice your skills with actual Koreans (or any other nationality) while you help them with whatever language they want to learn in return

I've used it and made some friends actually. I also read and understand Korean a lot better!

It's basically like Kakaotalk or LINE, but the main purpose is to practice a new language

it's not really hard, it just needs dedication and time (which I don't have ftm), and having someone you could ask if you don't get a thing on e-lessons would be super efficient

Hangul is very easy to learn. These are some books that I recommend(if you want the Grammar approach): Ehwa Korean, Sogang Korean and Korean Grammar in Use. Also Monash offers 2 FREEE books, they are really good to build a strong basic foundation. There are some interesting courses online that you can sign up: Quick Korean (My personal favorite). Best dictionary: Naver. I also recommend an app called HelloTalk for you to find language exchange partners. Finally, Anki to learn vocabulary.

I made this in a hurry but if I remember something I'll edit.

Hangul is really easy though? Everyone who isn't native to speaking Korean says so. Isn't it called the famous one minute alphabet or something because you can read Hangul fluently within a minute? Just not knowing the meaning?

According to linguists, that is the easiest part about learning languages. The hardest part is to construct sentences. It will probably take you 30 minutes to learn the korean alphabet and to read korean. Understanding it and speaking is a another story.

Off course it also depends on the person. Some people are able to learn languages more effectively than others. I'm trying to learn korean myself through the internet and it's not easy. What I really need is a roomate/girlfriend who also knows english to practice with. That is probably the most effective method.
