Why do some girls look in the mirror so darn much and take selfies every 5 ,minutes?

I just went back to school and i've noticed that most girls i see are always looking at their phone very five minutes to fix their make up which needs no fixings and touch their hair. Plus 90% of the time they open their phone, its to take a selfie and post it on instagram, like plz just stop. It makes them look really shallow.

I see girls doing that all the time...why do they need to look so pretty all the time...I don't know why...maybe checking to see if everything looks alright and most of the time...it is...They really do look shallow...caring about how pretty or ugly they look...it's not their fault.

I'm a girl too but I don't constantly check to see how I look...once or twice is good but anything more is a little...much.

Well for the instagram thing, I don't mind, to me its not shallow, so you want to post a bunch of pictures on a site that it's for. No harm done, its fun, your doing that the app was made for . Won't kill anybody.

As for the constantly looking at mirrors, I know I don't it often because I have zero - self esteem, Sometimes I feel like a lot of people are watching me and laughing because something is wrong with me. so I always check the mirror to see my flaws before anyone else can point it out. I'm not shallow, just scared of what other people think of me. I'd rather spend a million moments trying to make sure I look nice nice, then have one moment of feeling ugly.
