Nine Muses - Proud or Pity?

These girls have an interesting situation and I don't even have to get into explaining it because everybody knows what it is. What I want to know is if you're proud of the significant progress they made from debut until now. NM debuted with a terrible song and a terrible lineup that seemed unacceptable and slowly transitioned into one of the strongest girl groups both musically and on the stage.

 

So are you proud of their transformation, the work they've put into their craft and the situation they find themselves in now after what they were faced with? Or do you pity them for.. well, the exact same reasons. Maybe it's a bit of both? There seems to be many people who don't feel bad for them because they're still attached to the idea that they will become a big name girl group. I've gotten over that at this point and do simply pity them because all their effort seems to be in vain at the end of the day, but what about you?

Well i am very proud of them from improving as a group from debut to now ^_^

I don't know why people label them as nugu. Their album sales this year have improved a lot and DRAMA did pretty well.

i don't pity them, it's just a matter of an unfortunate situation where they had to lose their strongest line up (2013) in order to kind of make it to mid-tier - and I also haven't LOVED their songs this year, but to be fair the only songs i liked on first listen this year were Kontrol, JYP B00ty, and Devil. Actually - I do pity that their music has plateaued a bit, but after 2013, it's not like they could really go much higher, plus they ditched sweettune....so....

 

I'm proud that they've at least somewhat made it out of the 'omg a 9 girl member gg with a genie intro rip off song' to receiving some recognition (albeit very little) for their talent. Arguably they're the most popular Star Empire group rn too, which is cool.

you are the epitome of pathetic - it's amazing how much time you spend commenting about them when you don't like them. you need a life and need to worry about yourself because those overrated lazy hoes have accomplished more through hard work than you will ever accomplish in a lifetime.

Nine Muses is awesome.  End of story.  I don't think they can get any bigger by sticking to traditional K-Pop music and stylings, so they should try edgier looks and material.  

 

But they'll always be in my top 5 whether Korea likes them or not.

Proud- Because they've been gaining more & more fans each comeback, their songs are amazing, they are all beautiful, they have talent

 

Pity- because they aren't gaining popularity fast enough, & that their CEO probably still slaps them around like a PIMP

I'm proud as fuck for them.

They're like T-ara in the way that every song they release is an undeniable bop, but has difficulty winning/charting really high. They've come a long way since their debut, but hopefully they'll stop the member changes because that seems to be everyone's main problem with them atm.

I'm sure they'll be very devastated about this, I don't know how they'll emotionally recover.

News was a flawless song / comeback and line-up too, and that was near the beginning, if anything they're worse (not meaning their songs are bad just that news was perfect and drama/hurt locker are just nice)

 

Anyways overall they have good tittle tracks so I'm happy I can listen good music

Why should anyone pity them? They are doing what they love. The highest success would be great when doing what you love but I'd say they are better off than a lot of people who are dying day to day on jobs they hate. 

 

I'm proud that they continue to fight and get better. Let's be honest they have a string of great songs that are better than a lot of the crap that's being put out by other groups right now. I enjoyed Drama and Hurt Locker. Hurt Locker was in my opinion the one of the top 3 summer songs this year. So Nine Muses puts out great music, has a sexy line up of ladies, they have a great vocal line and their dancing is exciting. The only thing they don't have is a bunch of sheep fans like some girl groups who continue to accept mediocre songs and call it great. So maybe they should go to Japan or China and attempt to make it big there but I'm not going to pity them. I'm proud of them. I pity the Korean public who continues to overlooked them.
