Comparing SM's male groups: DBSK vs Super Junior vs Shinee vs EXO

I've only been on here a few months now and I don't visit every day so please forgive me if this has been done before.  Anyway, all of these male groups from SM have been strong physically and have huge fandoms.  Internationally, fans that stan one group in SM probably stan the other groups in the company as well.  A lot of people seem to enjoy all of these groups' music, so I'm really curious about which group people think has the best music.

 

There's a poll but it would be nice to see some discussion as well.

1) Suju. I literally like all their albums. And Sorry Sorry repackage and Mamacita repackage are probably the 2 best albums in all of kpop. I'm not even being totally biased on this. They are just that good an albums. 

 

2) K.R.Y. Enough said.

Also, they really know how to work at a group. Suju is probably top at using all their members for complex harmonizations in their songs, specially so in ballads.

 

To be fair, SHINee does this very well, too and 5BSK used to. But KRY>>>> and if you add Kangin/Sungmin to the mix 

 

EXO still needs to work on this. 

 

3) I wasn't totally biased on this. Suju has extremely good stage presence and charisma, but if we go by dancing performance....it's SHINee.

 

4) Suju. There's a reason they're all over Korean variety and TV 10 years into their debut. 

SHINee is 2nd. Taemin used to be too quiet for variety but he's learned and they do well.

DBSK was never all that into varieties. 

EXO....I'm not going to go there. 

 

5) I'm going to say Suju because Kangin-Doghae-Siwon-Heechul visual line at their peak was unbeatable.

Whichever you feel is stronger between the two, or maybe a combination of both. Since some people know their music when they were 5 and some only know of the 2, it's a little harder to discuss DBSK I guess.

1- its subjective thing .... for me suju

2- suju...KRY is enough

3- dance maybe TVXQ something stage is cool   and they have charisma / suju's stage are really enjoyable too

4-suju sure they are funny and dorks

5- its subjective too but dbsk5 were really unbeatable visually

Music: Super Junior. First and foremost I'm a fan because of their music.

 

Vocals: Super Junior as a group but BaekChenSoo instead of KRY.

 

Performances: Saying as someone who watched both groups live: SHINee for dancing but Suju in terms of performance as a whole. 

 

Personalities: Super Junior and SHINee (except Key).

 

Visuals: Never seen a k-pop boygroup looking as great as Suju in their Bonamana and Sexy,Free&Single days. Otherwise I couldn't know...

Being biased or unbiased, it's still shinee for all.

 

Firstly because they music are just so my style

 

Secondly their vocals is my cup of tea, tho I do admit that the other groups have some amazing singers as well. But shinee vocals is just like honey to my ears, especially when they harmonizes. In shinee songs u can hear that each member really do sing in parts where the whole group sings tgt.

 

Third perf wise, needless to say anything just the word perf. All of them dances well, and gives their 100% in every performance.

 

Fourth, personality. All five of them are just so damn lovable, nth to hate on.

 

Last but not least, visuals. All of them are shining extra bright recently.

But this is a subjective stuff, so it's not that other group are ugly to me, but their visuals are just not my type.

music and vocals: Shinee tbh i always loved their discography the best out of sm in general and also singing wise i like all their tones and they harmonize now more often 

 

Performance: i have to give that to tvxq tbh shinee is a choreo wise stronger group but tvxqs charisma on stage was really awesome and you can tell they are on stage for a long time and have a lot of experience.. i was actually surprised because i dont care much for tvxq 

 

the last two categories are absolutely irrelevant to me so i never thought about that.. the only thing i know is that jonghyun is an angel

Music: EXO - Though all SM male groups have great discographies, I think EXO's stand's out to me the most, a lot of their songs are just really good, What is Love, Moonlight, Love Me Right, My Lady exc..

 

Vocal: TVXQ - Honestly, listen back to some DB5K ballads and you'll see how vocally talented everyone was/is.

 

Dancers/Performance: SHINee - They just slay any dance their given.

 

Likable: Super Junior - I picked them because of their variety skills tbh.

 

Visuals: TVXQ (as 5) - Other than 2PM, TVXQ as a 5 member group is the only male group where I have found myself in some way attracted to all of the members :P

Personality - I choosed SHINee (also SJ) - they are outgoing, it's nice to see (but ofcourse I like exo boys more, bc biased af and I love them~~~)

DBSK (as 5) / KRY (tho I think BCD have a valid chance at this spot in a few years too)

 

Shinee (their synchronisation is A+)

 

(I'm biased to Exo lel cause I like they're awkwardness XD) But I really think DBSK were very charismatic too. If I was there with them before their peak then I could totally see me being a fan

 

Exo (they're style is just way more modern and fitted to today's tastes I guess)

I like every thing about Shinee.... their music, voical , performance, visual, variety show appearance, last but nt the list dance which I like the most.... my favorite in Shinee is Angel onew...:-) I like exo too... all members looks awesome...
