I'm not sure though... I think that he got a gold medal because of his individual scores but as a team their score weren't high to get a gold medal,so EXO lost. She's technically 'new' still None of these groups has been attending ever since 2011 though I think (well minus Minho). Either they have something better to do every time, or SM just doesn't see the sense in sending them anymore if there are enough other idols who can injure themselves for minimal screen time (and it's really minimal, considering there are 160 idols xD). I guess EXO are an exception because they're still relatively new to the industry, in comparison to SM's other groups. Plus this is close to their promotion cycle so that might also be a factor. Besides the cute group interactions, I personally don't really see the sense in this event, every time someone gets injured, so I'm glad whenever my favourite groups stay away from it. They don't have choice but stay in that place for 20 hours doing nothing, getting injured to get like 10 seconds of screentime or less.
