They're not promoting at all? That's not a good sign. When Lipservice stopped promoting, things went downhill fast...

 

They should've released a digital single and used the money they saved from making physical copies of a mini album to put the girls on music shows. The nugu groups that have lasted the longest (Think Stellar, Wa$$up, BESTie, Berry Good, Tahiti. That kind of nugu.) have been around for as long or even longer than a lot of top girl groups (For example, Stellar debuted in 2011, Tahiti in 2012) and have managed to keep their songs and videos at a decent quality for this long because their discography is mainly comprised of digital singles. They don't spend money on making physical albums and can use the money they saved to get onto music shows and have higher budget MVs.

 

It's a shame that this group seems to be going downhill so quickly, with Winnie leaving and Blink Blink not being promoted. I thought that this company had enough money to keep these girls going for a while with their mini album and that awesome debut MV. But it seems like their new company does not know how to manage a group. This feels like a more fast-paced version of Lipservice's story, although Lipservice never switched companies.

Yes i think after they got a really long hiatus it would of been better to release a digital single and later this year the mini album, if they aren`t going to promote on music shows i hope they can at least get some festivals spots or something

The mini album i think it depends on whether they have company producers or not, but considering music shows have non existent ratings i expected to cost much less lol

D.Holic company has chinese connections or something i think, and i don`t know if Unicorn new company has years on the music business, maybe they are still learning how to manage a group? If they keep appearing on events it`s a good sign though, so let`s wait and see

Because if you're saying that the total cost of attending music shows for an entire month is $90,000, then that's less than $3,250 per show. They definitely could put in the money to perform on a show at least once.

 

This company just has no idea how to promote or use their resources wisely.

By that i mean only 1 of the shows not all of them, if i find the source where i got that i'll post it. But yeah it's surely because they dont know how to promote a group

EDIT: i just searched again and actually they don`t pay to perform but that`s what they spend between wardrobe + transport + stages + managers,etc. And you`re right lol it says that the broadcast channels have meetings before the music show with managers from all agencies and then decide witch artists gets to perform so their new label is pretty bad, it`s a shame since they delivered an amazing mini album

I don`t know if it`s true but i think they head to Japan since even nugu groups make a lot more money there than in korea, in an old article (2014 i think not sure) industry insiders said that well known idols make more profit during a month or less promotions in Japan than a whole year in korea

Also has it been confirmed if Winnie is ever coming back if she gets better???? 

 

*On a bright topic they got A LOT more international attention with this mini album, everyone`s loving it

Japan music industry has more money. In Korea, the only way you get actual money is by doing CFs and lots of variety appearances, which let's face it, they won't be getting anytime soon. So focusing on Japan for now is actually a pretty smart move... I only wonder if they'll be able to attract a significative number of people to the concert.

This, like i posted before, they make money easier on Japan, unknown groups like Tahiti for example (or Madtown ) released albums there and had a better response than in Korea (+ overseas activities is more % of money for idols aswell even if it`s not much it`s something i guess)
