I'd love to ask you~!

How can I distinguish their voices (four singers) in the studio tracks? Color coded lyrics helped me but I felt they were not always correct~.

Jaeho's voice is a little pop, Kyungil's is a little soft (his voice is the most difficult to me), Yijeong has his style, Dokyun is Dokyun, but I can't tell whose voice is whose occasionally. xD

 

 

 

 

I've listened to their albums many times and they are good!!!!!!!! There has been one distinct concept(?) on vocals and it's interesting to me!!!!!!

 

It's different their way to style their vocals from other vocally good or nice K-POP groups.

 

One of the lead singers has a big voice, and they could go to a more powerful direction both live and in the studio but they selected another way to show their vocals. Cool~!

 

And I like the production. And I understand why they're underrated.

 

 

 

 

I hope their comeback song is good!!!!!

 

 

I guess over time of listening to them you kinda become able to tell. But you pretty much have it in terms of description.

 

Jaeho is pop, cute pretty boy pop voice. Kyungil's own is very soft; dreamy? if you will. He tends to slide into notes on his phrases a lot which adds to the mystical, dreamlike vocal style. 

Yijeong is probably the most stylistically efficient vocalist. Pretty strong (maybe not as BIG as Dokyun's but pretty big voice nonetheless) and pretty stylish. Can be soulful and stuff.

Dokyun is our resident "big voiced" dude. I think History's songs don't always utilize all he has...but hey.

 

 

And YES!!! That's what I like about History. Even though the concepts and genres have been different they've kept an overall essence or feel vocally, consistently throughout their releases.

 

They really have turned out some of the smoothest, most sleek, most mature tracks of rookie boy bands in kpop...they deserve more attention. I mean...THEIR DEBUT TRACK ALONE shows the calibre.
