An appropriate example will be Vernon and his single released before the actual battle with Andup. Another was Sih-k, considering the fact that I read about his new mixtape before the broadcast, I kinda knew he was eliminated already. Right now, with the release of a new rap album by Jay Park and Lil Boi featuring on Seo In Young´s new single, I guess AOMG team is done. Other news is that Basick just signed to MAMAMOO agency, which raised my suspicions as he´s a strong candidate for 1st place. That might be a strech and we would have to wait a bit more as we all know they are usually more advanced than the actually broadcast. They even might be done already. I doubt the contestants have an exclusivity contract that prohibits them from signing anywhere as long as they are on SMTM. Afaik it just prohibits them from releasing songs. Plus, Mnet eats out of the palm of YG's hand, which is another reason why it wouldn happen. But at least a lot of the rappers from SMTM (and even UR) are finding labels or are getting more support from their label, even if they don't win the prize at the end. Who is better than Mino? Imo you can only make an argument for Basick. Dude is sick. Mino is bar for bar top2 among the contestants tbh. It´s like they´re trying to downgrade his effforts so that he will get hate more... They´re so sly hating on him and I´m glad Zico took the time to speak against that. And what will happen if he put out a better performance against BNM? Anything is possible at this point... it´s not only about being the best but having the wisdom to choose a song that will move the audience... SMTM's biggest fault this season is that they changed the format from last season. Bobby had more chances of showing himself while Mino seems to be constantly in a box. By this time where Mino's at, Bobby (and other contestants) had several solo performances. I honestly don't get why they changed the format.
