1. [+331, -50] FTISLAND and CNBLUE, even AOA, despite all the hate they get, record their own instruments for their albums. I was looking forward to WG as a band but after hearing that they didn't even record their own instruments for their album... I realized it was just a concept for them.

2. [+309, -64] Dancing with an instrument in your hands does not make you a band. And a band's vocals need to be powerful enough to be heard clearly through the sounds of the instruments being played but there's not one member who has a voice strong enough to do that. I don't know why they even bothered with this band concept to begin with.

3. [+234, -42] If you think about it outside of the band concept, what they did is basically like a singer having someone else use their voice to record the album and then themselves going up on stage to pretend to be singing that. If a no name band with the same skill level as the Wonder Girls tried to do this, they wouldn't have even been able to debut.

4. [+37, -3] It's basically all Park Jin Young's foxy little ploy. He knows that music shows don't allow live performances so he uses that as an excuse for them while having someone else record everything else for them ã…‹ã…‹ he has all the excuses in the world. And if they get into controversy for having weak vocals? Oh, there's another excuse... blame it on them holding instruments while singing live ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

5. [+35, -17] They should just put on some hair bands and call it a day because that's the only real band they're going to be

6. [+33, -3] They show that they've hit bottom in terms of what they can do. NO voacl talent, no rapper, no dance... they've been living off of the old WG fame but even their rap is below average.. they're just honestly so bad.

7. [+30, -4] Listened to them on 'Cultwo Show' and their live was just horrible. I almost swore while listening... The members can't even get the first note of their parts right, they're just barely mumbling the lyrics. You can see the true pits of their talent without their MR. Only the Wonderfuls were excited to hear them..

8. [+23, -6] Wonderfuls saying that WG performed great at 'Sketchbook'? Yeah, if your standards are that of some junior high school talent show

Article: 'Weekly Idol' Yeeun, "Wonder Girls to promote as a band next album too"

Source: OSEN via Nate

1. [+218, -40] And will your next album be recorded by yourselves? Because a band who doesn't even record their own instruments... isn't really a band, is it?

2. [+190, -47] They're not a band, just a group using instruments as an accessory. And they're lying about performing live. Only Yeeun's keyboard at the end was live, the others are just a mixture of midi sounds blended in with the original recording of the other session men who recorded for them. They lied calling that a live.

3. [+187, -50] Worry about your singing first. Your voices all sound like nasally flies. And just how poor are your guitar and drum skills that the bass, synth, and AR cover the music?

4. [+36, -17] I've never heard of a band that can't even perform its instruments

5. [+34, -3] I've never seen Park Jin Young so unprofessional in my life after seeing the Wonder Girls as a band. He's normally such a perfectionist.

6. [+32, -18] This has to be a joke ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

7. [+25, -7] WG has nothing going for them other than Park Jin Young's name. Sunye and Sohee left so they lost their visual and there's not one talented member left. Park Jin Young assures that they'll at least have catchy songs but the rest of the members are basically only useful for their faces, and if you're into visuals, you might as well go to KARA for that.

1. [+2,953, -222] WG do well, I like seeing their transformations~

2. [+2,785, -257] I like dance but I like band too

3. [+2,266, -199] Sunmi's so pretty ã…Žã…Ž glad to have you all back~

4. [+1,907, -180] Jjang pretty ㅠㅠㅠㅠ WG band fighting ♥

5. [+1,794, -165] I'd be happy as long as the Wonder Girls released lots of songs ♥

6. [+188, -44] Yeeun's so pretty when she smiles♥

7. [+160, -20] Happy that there will even be another album, fighting Wonder Girls

8. [+157, -31] Good to see them working hard ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

So then I guess Girls` Generation came back as Pilots, 009 Agents, Cheerleaders,

Nurses, Men and such for their comebacks?

Because a band who doesn't even record their own instruments... isn't really a band, is it?

I have to agree with the netizens with this one.

i mean lets look at the positive, by once again doing a band concept they could show everyone how much they've improved by recording themselves playing the instrument this time around

As long as I get a quality release tbh, I don't really care what type of concept it is. But who knows. If they really keep this concept and keep practicing, they might get to the level where they feel comfortable and can record their own instruments.

this was only a concept.

yeah true

they can't play

possibly, i haven't really watched their stuff tho so no comment

they aren't a band

what? they did perform as a band, with instruments and all. i have no idea whether they were good or not (comments here say indicate that they weren't good, but comments on reddit (lol) suggest that they were). but that's really not the point: just because you aren't a good band doesn't mean you're not a band :P

Tbh I was disappointed to hear they didn't record the instruments for their album. I mean even AOA recorded the instruments and arranged the band themselves for their albums. Granted, it was farfetched for us to expect WG to be a fully fledged band after only learning these instruments for what, 1 year or so? But they shouldn't have marketed themselves as a band if they weren't skilled enough with their instruments.

They aren't playing and the one on the drum's is terribly offbeat

Pretty sure they are. If I'm not mistaken, Yubin had a looper(?) on. And the studio version does NOT have that keytar solo from Yeeun at the end.

But anyway. Here are their jamming sessions for your viewing pleasure

If they can play these instruments then i'm so effortlessly sure they are able to record it. Its a concept. Sure, they can play but there's no excuse to be made either way.

I had said they weren't a band in another thread and got negged by their "fans". Honestly, I hope after reading that they'll realize they aren't a band, they can't play and that this was only a concept.

If the typical kpop fan on OH can't accept that some people may think their faves cant sing/dance/rap or look ugly, what makes you think wonderfuls, and the absurd amount of bandwagoners, will accept [or in my case care] if some people don't think WG is a band?

Honestly they need to improve on their skill in playing instruments, while they can play at a level that would work for a few special stages, it's not at the level where they should promote as a band just yet.
I mean I really like this WG comeback and all but I am still conflicted on the whole band thing.

You initially said they cannot play so I'm just rightfully showing receipts that they can. WG never said they were excellent at their respective instruments, too.

Well anyway, if they have achieved such level of skills after a mere year or so, then I'm sure they will continue to do better. They were just being honest and giving credits to the professional musicians who recorded their instrumentals. It's a process that costs hundred thousands, so it was wise to have that be done by professionals.

But please don't discredit their efforts and hard-worked talents when they clearly aren't hand-syncing (when given the chance at events). Give them credit where it's due.
