Would you be okay with your S/O hanging out with "friends"?

"Friends" as in friends that are of the sex that they are attracted to. Not just a random friend from class/work though, like a good long-time friend.

For instance, a straight female in a relationship hanging out with another male friend.

My best friend's new boyfriend (emphasis on "new") feels some type of way about her hanging out with me, and I definitely get that it's weird but like... we've been close since 4th grade. So at the same time I'm thinking "who iz u?"

I think it ridiculous to put parameters on people's friendships. Plus I'm bisexual so if I have a boyfriend or girlfriend do I just have to immediately stop talking to everyone I know since I could potentially be attracted to them? If you can't trust your bf or gf to have friends you probably shouldn't be together.

If you're worried about your partner hanging out with friends of the sex you're attracted to, you either don't trust your partner or you're insecure, and definitely not emotionally ready to date. That kind of thinking is childish

(That said sometimes jealousy can still happen if it feels like this friend is spending more time with or paying more attention to their friends than with you, which is a normal feeling. But to ban them from having friends like that at all is way too controlling)

its not weird

you shouldn't feel guilty ever

i get the guy , that it makes him uncomfortable somehow on some level, because you two are close

but he should trust his girlfriend and just ask her questions if he is insecure about stuff

he shouldn't like, demand from her she cant hangout with you anymore and stuff
