Singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong's third Japanese single album sold over 100,000 on the day of its release!

 

Not only did 'Tonight' sell 101,818 copies, Kim Hyun Joong sold the most records by a foreign artist in Japan the same day. The album landed him at #2 on Oricon's daily single charts as well.

 

Fans can catch Kim Hyun Joong weekly on SBS' 'Barefoot Friends' along withSuper Junior's Eunhyuk, After School's UEE, Kang Ho Dong, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Bum Soo, Yoon Si Yoon, and more.

SS501's Heo Young Saeng is back with his 2nd Japanese Album and a concert.  The main vocal of the group SS501 is currently expanding his range starting up with a drama, musical and a concert. 

His 2nd album will be released on July 3rd with a title 'Memories of You'. The title is all about the past memories of Heo Young Saeng and his fans shared. The album is mainly consist of SS501 cover songs such as 'All My Love" and "Mermaid". It also includes 2 new songs "Always You & I" and "Everything You". A total of 9 songs with 2 new ones. However, a bonus track is also included. It's Heo Young Saeng's first solo composed song entitled "First Sky I've Ever Seen".

In addition, there will be a concert to be held in Zepp Tokyo on July 11th.

Are you curious on how Kim Hyun Joong lives?

 

Well, if so, you're in for a treat if you tune into an upcoming episode of SBS' 'Barefoot Friends'. The members of 'Barefoot Friends' visited Kim Hyun Joong's house and they were impressed with its clean and chic interior.

 

When he took them into his walk-in closet, the members tried on his clothes and put on an impromptu fashion show. He apparently even had clothes that fit Lee Hyori and UEE, making the pair wonder why he had female clothes in his closet.

 

The episode will air on the 9th, so make sure you don't miss it!

Kim Hyun Joong becomes first solo Korean artist to sell over 100,000 copies for first 3 Japanese singles

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong has set another record for himself.

 

On June 11, Japan's music chart company Oricon stated, "All 3 of Kim Hyun Joong's Japanese singles have consecutively sold over 100,000 copies in the first week of release. It's the first time this has occurred for any Korean solo singer active in Korea."

 

His newest single 'Tonight" sold 116,000 copies in the first week, placing him at #2 for both the Oricon daily and weekly charts only behind Japan's SMAP. His previous singles "KISS KISS / Lucky Guy" and "HEAT" have also achieved over 100,000 sales in the first week of release.

 

Kim Hyun Joong's label in Japan, Universal Music Japan said, "Looking at his large fanbase, the sales of his first 3 Japanese singles in addition to his first Japanese album 'Unlimited', the effect Kim Hyun Joong has on the Japanese music market is very big."

Hey welcome to the SS501 thread ^^

 

They never officially disbanded... they just didn't renew their contract with DSP in 2010 and they couldn't find a company that could take all members, so they were forced to join different ones. Since then they have all been active as solo artists and they have all tried acting.

All of the members promise to comeback as a group in the future... But they seem to one by one insinuating they are enlisting soon. So we are just gonna have to see what happens in the future
