My bias in SS501 is Kim Hyun Joong, in fact, his is my 2nd Ultimate bias right behind Lee Joon of MBLAQ~

Other than this thread you will find me on the MBLAQ thread or on the SHINee thread (for the reason why see my DP)~

Anyway you won't really see me on this thread as much as I would like since MBLAQ is making a Comeblaq tonight and they did come first so I gotta support my babies but when it calms down I will be back on this thread and the SHINee thread -which I still haven't posted on~- rigorously~

To all the new fresh faces I am so excited you found this thread and I look forward to chatting with you guys about SS501 and other groups as the days come!~

Trying to give something for the fans to always remember, Kim Hyun Joong shook the hands of Japanese fans for more than six hours. 

On June 4, Kim Hyun Joong held a special event for the release of his third single Tonight at the Tokyo Nakano Sun Plaza, where 10,000 fans showed up to see the star.

 

 

The gathering took place as an album release event and a handshake event, as well as a surprise birthday party for Kim Hyun Joong, who will be celebrating his birthday on June 6. 

It′s said that around 8,000 fans were waiting outside of the hall for the handshake event to start when Kim Hyun Joong made a special request to the event staff to go ahead and seat the fans inside the hall away from the hot weather. 

Kim Hyun Joong then proceeded to go around and greet every single fan at their seat for the next six hours, differing from other handshake events where the fans approach the star.

 

 

A Universal Music staff member stated, “It’s a given that he shows mature music every time he releases a new album, but it’s Kim Hyung Joong’s special charm to take care of the well-being of his fans, who have waited a long time to see him – that’s something you don’t find in every star.†

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong will be releasing a special digital single for his fans in Korea in time for his birthday on June 6.

Last June 2nd, popular idol group SS501 member Kim hyung Jun stood in front of some of the lawmakers. With his full time casting in MBC’s ‘Gold, Appear’, what was the reason he’s found attending this hearing? 

On that day, the hearing was about Agencies with alleged sexual favors. The Congress discussed how these issues affects Pop Culture and how to prevent such incidents to occur in the future. Senator Park Chang Sik has already passed a bill last August about Entertainment Industry Registration System and instituted Standard Contracts that indicates necessary contract information. Lawmakers and other pop culture experts were present at the hearing. 

Kim Hyung Jun shared some of his debut days experiences, “ Unqualified agency should be filtered out through Registration System so the Juniors won’t have to experience such hardshipsâ€. 

In year 2000, Kim Hyung Jun first set his feet in the entertainment industry as a trainee and debuted after 5 years as a member of an idol group SS501. He first started as a trainee during his Sophomore days. He attended school in Gangnam where an entertainment agency was just nearby and he often received offers to act or model. One agency official would say â€Are you interested to be a celebrity? We can have you tested in front of the camerasâ€. 
He answered “ â€Yes, several times. I was invited to do street castings†I’m a little bit curious about it but, I really wanted to become a celebrity that time. “

Kim Hyung Jun’s parents objected the idea and attended some auditions without them knowing it. That time, Kim Hyung Jun was taught about the reality. â€I went out to look for some auditions, There’s this small agency where the president’s nameplate was the only visible at their office. A thought came to me that this isn’t rightâ€, But his friends were also victimized. â€We can make you debut in no time. If you don’t do this, your friends willâ€. 
Some of them were forced leaving them without a choice even though they don’t have plans to become a celebrity in the first place. 

â€There was a time where agencies gives calling cards at the entrance of the school. Many offered me to be a model. I accept the offer with some of my friends. If you have a thousand won then you can do a photoshoot. My friends have more or less a million won, My friends can do the photoshoot so I borrowed money from them. But the shooting keeps on delaying and eventually the money we released went to nothing. I didn’t report it to the law because I thought they won’t believe a thing since I’m just a minorâ€

Temptations be it from a big or small agency continued. 

â€I didn’t attend school and went to practice for 10 hours instead. I became frustrated and asked myself, “If the situation continues, how will be able to survive?†“When am I gonna debut?â€. Some small agencies promised for a quick debut and my desire to try it goes stronger.†

His younger brother has became a victim of those entertainment agencies as well. Kibum-ssi debuted last 2006 from group ‘XING’ and released one single album. Their agency promised them to be in TV but, that promise was kept into nothing. He sighed while saying â€My brother terminated his contract on that agencyâ€. After that his brother debuted as a member of ‘UKISS’ but, then again he had conflicts with the agency and left the group and pursue his career in Japan.

Kim Hyun Joong releases surprise single for fans "Why I'm Alive..." as he celebrates his birthday!

 

 

Hallyu superstar Kim Hyun Joong has revealed a new song as a surprise for his fans!

 

Titled "Why I'm Alive...", the song has been released to celebrate his birthday as well as thank fans who have been with him all these years, still faithfully waiting for his domestic release.

 

As you might guess from the title, the song includes lyrics that express that his beloved fans are the reason he lives.

 

He'll perform this ballad for the first time through his fanmeeting in Korea on the 8th, '2013 KHJ Show - Party People', so for those of you going, make sure you take a listen to the song first!
