Both sides of Kim Hyun Joong assault case give an update

 

 

 

The assault case involving Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend, 'A', continues as she demands for his acknowledgment of the crimes, self-reflection, and an apology.

 

On September 12, Attorney Sun Jong Moon of Sun & Partners Law Firm in charge of A's case told TV Report, "Our current position is that acknowledgment of the multiple assaults, self-reflection, and apology come first.  If he does not do so, we have no choice but to investigate the truth by submitting additional documents.  We will accept a confrontation if necessary.  Our biggest goal is to reveal the truth.  Because of this, acknowledgment, apology, and self-reflection must come first."

 

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong's attorney told Star News, "Both of their stances are indeed different, but we do not hope for their fight regarding right and wrong.  They knew each other for two years, and as they used to be a couple, conflict was created as they broke up.  Kim Hyun Joong is also trying hard to untangle that.  We are also in the midst of refining the apology in order to loosen up the feelings of a lover who had loved at one point.  We are focusing on the emotions as well as relieving the pain."

 

The person in charge at the Songpa Police Office said, "Kim Hyun Joong and the plaintiff had mixed viewpoints in the first summons investigation, but the two do not have any immediate plans for another summons investigation at the moment.  I think we'll be able to make a decision on whether to have another summons investigation sometime next week."

Kim Hyun Joong's assault case comes to a close with his letter of apology

 

 

It looks like Kim Hyun Joong's scandalous assault case is coming to a close.

 

On September 15, his legal rep disclosed to Star News, "We agreed on a withdrawal of litigation with no conditions if Kim Hyun Joong officially apologizes.  The withdrawal will occur tomorrow in the afternoon.

 

"It was important to ease her feelings.  She wanted an apology more than discussing right and wrong.  We officially apologized, and she decided to withdraw the lawsuit after accepting his feelings."

 

On the same day, Kim Hyun Joong indeed wrote out a letter of apology on his official home page, addressing his ex-girlfriend.  

 

He wrote, "I am really sorry for inflicting a lot of psychological and physical pain on the person whom I've trusted and loved and vice versa for two years through this act.  I am ashamed that I behaved in a way I shouldn't have as a man.  As everything in this incident was my fault, that person has no reason for receiving criticism.  I apologize once again to that person, and I want to relay words of apology like this to that person's family and acquaintances.

 

"I hope, more than anything, that she will accept my apology and forgive me.  Using this as an opportunity, I will work hard to become a bit more considerate and to live more healthily."

Kim Hyun Joong's assault case officially coming to a close

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong's assault case is officially coming to a close.

Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend is reported to have filed for a withdrawal of her lawsuit against the star on September 17 after a few days of consideration. A rep from the Seoul Songpa Police Station stated, "We received the application for withdrawal of the case against Kim Hyun Joong at 12:30PM," and his agency also confirmed the news.

 

The assault victim's lawyer further added that there was no monetary exchange involved in cancelling the case, but Kim Hyun Joong did meet with her personally to apologize. The ex-girlfriend's lawyer explained, "The plaintiff voiced her opinion that she didn't want him to be penalized, so the lawsuit was withdrawn. Kim Hyun Joong personally met with the victim and gave her a sincere apology. After a few days of contemplation, she decided to withdraw the case with no conditions and no settlement."

Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend denies any discussion or reception of settlement money in assault case

 

 

'A,' the ex-girlfriend who recently filed for the withdrawal of her lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong on the grounds of assault on September 17, made it clear that there were no negotiations or talks over settlement money.

 

Her attorney told Star News on September 18, "Settlement money was never spoken of from the moment we received this case to the present moment.  Without settlement money, we decided to withdraw the lawsuit after receiving the apology from Kim Hyun Joong."

 

Her attorney stated, "Our client and Kim Hyun Joong did not simply date one or two times, but sincerely loved each other throughout two years of dating.  It's funny to ask him for money, and there was no reason to accept it even if it had been offered.

 

Assault is assault, but the problem was that her pride as a woman was hurt.  That was why she wanted a sincere apology.  Kim Hyun Joong showed regret and we received an apology from him, so she withdrew the lawsuit on the grounds she did not desire punishment."

Police to send Kim Hyun Joong's acknowledged case of bodily harm to prosecution

 

The police reported on September 23 that they plan to send the prosecution office a report regarding the one instance of assault which Kim Hyun Joong admitted to out of the four filed against him before by his ex-girlfriend.

 

The chief of the Songpa Police Office told Newsen on September 23, "Out of the four reported situations, Kim Hyun Joong admitted to one account of bodily injury.  In relation to the part regarding Kim Hyun Joong's acknowledgment of the bodily injury charge, we plan to send comments for indictment to the prosecutors either this week or the next.  If we write out our views and send them, the prosecutors will wrap up the rest."

 

In addition, the chief had told Star News, "We are also under discussion about sending the acquittal or individual feedback relating to the three additional assault charges including regular assault."

 

The chief pointed out that as Kim Hyun Joong acknowledged one of the four cases of assault reported by the ex-girlfriend, that one case was judged to be a charge of bodily injury. The chief explained that the difference between a bodily injury charge and an assault charge was that even if the two parties reached an agreement, the bodily injury case could not be concluded without a prosecution case.

 

Meaning, although the charges against Kim Hyun Joong were withdrawn by his ex-girlfriend, it appears that since he did acknowledge and admit guilty to one account of physical assault, this will still need to be taken care of by the police and prosecutors.

Kim Hyun Joong's acknowledged case of bodily harm sent to the prosecutors

 

The Songpa Police Office previously reported that they were going to send the one case of bodily harm that Kim Hyun Joong acknowledged to the prosecution office.  Out of the four cases the singer and actor's ex-girlfriend filed against him and then withdrew, he had admitted to one physical fight the two engaged in; hence, the police had a responsibility to send this not as an assault cause but as a bodily harm case to the prosecution office despite the withdrawal of charges against Kim Hyun Joong.

 

As an update, the police headquarters stated on October 1, "Among the four cases that were reported, the portion of the assault charges that Kim Hyun Joong acknowledged was forwarded to the prosecutors on September 29.  Despite the [alleged] habitual assault, the three additional assault cases were forwarded with no right of arraignment," meaning he would not be prosecuted for those other cases.

 

Once the prosecutors' investigation wraps up, it appears the battle with the assault charges from his ex-girlfriend will likewise conclude.

SS501's Park Jung Min recently signed on with yet another new agency, this time in the hopes of starting a full-scale acting career!

 

He signed a contract with Ji Ho Entertainment and one rep said on August 25, "Not too long ago, Park Jung Min decided to hold hands with Ji Ho Entertainment."

 

With this new start, he will be able to move forward as an actor.  Although he had appeared in movies and dramas in the past, he wanted to advance even further, which is how he came to decide on this contract.

Kim Hyung Jun has departed for Japan on the afternoon of October 9 for his solo Japanese tour!
 

According to his agency SH Entertainment, Kim Hyung Jun will kick off his '2014 LIVE TOUR - Endless Story' on the 10th and perform a total of 7 concerts in 3 cities including Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka until November 28. The singer-turned-actor has been putting his all into preparing for the tour and is expected to perform over 10 songs at each show.

Kim Hyun Joong's agency denies enlistment rumors

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong's agency has denied that the singer-actor will be enlisting in the military next March.

A media outlet reported on October 14 that Kim Hyun Joong has decided to enter his mandatory military service in March of 2015. The news wasn't a surprise to many considering the recent controversy surrounding his assault against his ex-girlfriend, but it looks like the rumors were false.

To address the rumors, Key East Entertainment has come forward to say, "There's no truth to the headlines that he'll be enlisting in March. He hasn't even received an order for his enlistment, so he's not in a situation to know when he'll be enlisting."

Kim Hyun Joong is currently spending time out of the spotlight after wrapping up his '2014 Kim Hyun Joong World Tour' last month.

Kim Hyung Jun shared his thoughts on a SS501 reunion and more in an interview with 'International BNT' magazine.

Kim Hyung Jun said, "You'll see SS501 together one day. The SS501 members and I always talk about how we should reunite for the fans in the future." He added that he meets with Kim Kyu Jong often. 

He also revealed that he initially dreamed of going into the entertainment field to make money for his family, who came into financial trouble during his junior high school days. The singer and actor named Son Ye Jin as an actress he's a fan of and Jung Woo Sung as his role model, adding, "I want to work hard so that I can keep the title of singer and actor like Uhm Jung Hwa and Lim Chang Jung sunbaes."

Kim Hyun Joong will be making a Japanese comeback next month.

 

According to reports, Kim Hyun Joong will release his 2nd Japanese album 'STILL' on February 11. The album consists of a total of 12 tracks including the title track, which is a medium-rock ballad, as well as 4 new other tracks in addition to his previously released songs.

 

He will also hold his Japanese tour, 'KIM HYUN JOONG JAPAN TOUR 2015 'GEMINI'', which will kick off at Pacifico Yokohama on the 27th and will tour around 10 cities with 12 concerts in total.

SS501's Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, and Kim Hyung Jun will be standing on the same stage together as a trio for the first time in about five years.  

 

On January 16, Kim Hyung Jun updated his Instagram with a picture and, "It's been a long time since we performed together. 301 cross.  Tomorrow with Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong."

 

To confirm, Kim Hyung Jun's agency SH Entertainment said, "Kim Hyung Jun, Kim Kyu Jong, and Heo Young Saeng will perform at the 'Musical & Talk Concert' that will open on January 17 by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Mobile Police Corps where Heo Young Saeng is on duty.  The three of them have consistently contacted one another, so they had discussed this in advance."

Kim Hyun Joong fined for the one acknowledged case of bodily harm on ex-girlfriend

 

 

For those who do not recall, singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong was previously accused by an ex-girlfriend of mentally and physically abusing her more than once.  While this case was eventually settled with his apology to his former girlfriend, there was, however, one case of bodily harm he had owned up to and which could be not be ignored by the court despite whatever settlement the two parties may have reached eventually.  

 

Regarding this, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutor's Office disclosed on January 19 that Kim Hyun Joong was summarily indicted with a 5 million KRW (~ $5,000 USD) fine for physically harming his ex-girlfriend.  

 

The prosecutor explained, "Mr. Kim said, 'While I was showing my girlfriend a martial arts demonstration, she got hurt--that is all; there was no intention of assault,' but it had become clear that she got injured through assault, so charges like damage by assault were applied. There was a settlement regarding the assault and Mr. Kim sent in a letter of apology, so we did the summary indictment while considering those situations."

 

Meanwhile, the idol-turned-actor revealed he was going to jump back onto his feet by returning with a new Japanese album.

His agency B2M Entertainment announced on February 17 that the singer will be returning with a new album this April in both South Korea and Japan. Kim Kyu Jong finished his enlistment duties in the military in July of last year, and he'll be making a comeback after 2 years and 9 months since his second mini album 'Meet Me Again', which was dedicated to his fans.

Kim Hyun Joong rumored to be reconciled with ex-girlfriend and becoming a dad!

 

 

Rumors say that idol Kim Hyun Joong is expected to become a baby daddy in September!

 

In the March issue of magazine 'Woman Sense's March issue, they wrote, "Kim Hyun Joong reconciled with his two years older ex-girlfriend and are expecting a baby. The baby's mother is Ms. Choi (31), the ex-girlfriend who sued Kim Hyung Joong for assault."

 

A close friend of the couple told Women's Sense that Kim Hyun Joong and Ms. Choi peacefully reconciled when the idol sincerely apologized for his actions after the assault case. 

 

The magazine went on to quote the friend who revealed, "Currently, Kim Hyun Joong is worried about his upcoming enlistment into the army while both families are discussing about marriage and the baby." 

 

Magazine 'Woman Sense' broke several stories regarding celebrity scandals, including the relationship between Girls' Generation's Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho, Han Ye Seul and Teddy, as well as the recent relationship scandal between Hong Jong Hyun and Nana. 

 

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong was charged for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, who is now expecting their baby, back in August of 2014. At the time of the investigation, Ms.Choi stated that she had fractured a rib due to the assaults, requiring 6 weeks for recovery.

Kim Hyun Joong wraps up his tour and gets ready for his enlistment

 

 

Singer Kim Hyun Joong successfully wrapped up his last Japanese tour, mobilizing more than 55,000 fans even though this was his fourth tour in the country. 

 

The singer, who debuted in Japan back in 2010, previously stated that he would be enlisting into the army by the end of this year and that his February 20th concert was the last one before his enlistment. According to the reports, Kim Hyun Joong performed for about three hours straight, and thanked his fans stating, "This is really the last. I am happy that so many people came out."

Kim Hyun Joong releases official statement on his alleged marriage plans with 10-weeks pregnant girlfriend

 

 

On February 23rd, Key East Entertainment released an official statement in regards to the rumored reports which revealed that Kim Hyun Joong is allegedly getting married to his ten-weeks pregnant girlfriend.

 

They wrote:

 

"In regards to the assault case between Kim Hyun Joong and Ms. Choi, the agreement was made back in September. It is true that Kim Hyun Joong and Choi met after the lawsuit, however, they decided to break up towards the end of the year. A few days after, (Early January of this year) Choi told Kim Hyun Joong that she was pregnant. 

 

Kim Hyun Joong and his parents have attempted to contact Choi and Choi's parents and requested that both families meet and discuss the current situation of the expectant mother and make a visit to the agreed hospital and doctor for examination. However, Choi denied these requests and currently cannot be contacted. 

Yesterday (February 22) after the reports, Kim Hyun Joong attempted to contact Choi again to confirm the pregnancy, but was not able receive a response. Rumors of both families meeting and discussing marriage are groundless. Kim Hyun Joong stated that if Choi's pregnancy is true, then he will be taking on the necessary responsibilities.

Lawyer of Miss Choi, Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend, confirms Choi's pregnancy

 

 

Following the statement released by Kim Hyun Joong's side regarding the possible marriage and his ex-girlfriend's possible pregnancy, the ex-girlfriend's lawyer has revealed their side of the story.

 

According to media outlet Sports Seoul, they were able to score a phone interview with Miss Choi (Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend)'s lawyer Sun Jong Moon. The lawyer stated over the phone, "It's true that Miss Choi is pregnant. It's also true that Kim Hyun Joong is the father."

 

"Miss Choi has been having a tough time with her pregnancy being revealed to the world; she is currently visiting clinics and getting rest and stability," the lawyer added.

 

The lawyer also said he has in possession plenty of evidence to confirm Miss Choi's pregnancy. Since Kim Hyun Joong's side had mentioned that they could not get in contact with Miss Choi at all when they had asked to confirm her pregnancy, it sounded as if she had been hiding out to conceal the truth. In regards to this, her lawyer commented, "It is not true that she's hiding out. After she notified them of her pregnancy, she met with Kim Hyun Joong's side even until recently. She contacted them and met with them."

 

Miss Choi's side is expected to release an official statement regarding their position either later today or tomorrow.

Kim Hyun Joong's side clarifies that they are not suspecting Miss Choi of faking pregnancy, they just simply want to visit the hospital with her

 

 

With Miss Choi's side speaking up and confirming the news of her pregnancy, Kim Hyun Joong's side has stepped up to clarify that it's not that they are doubting that she is pregnant, but rather that they just want to check visit the hospital with her to check on the baby.

 

As mentioned earlier, Kim Hyun Joong's side had released and official statement stating that they were informed about her pregnancy, but that when they requested to meet with Miss Choi and visit the hospital together, she had stopped keeping in touch with them. They had also mentioned that the singer will take responsibility if the pregnancy is true.

 

In response, Miss Choi's lawyer had spoken up to say that Miss Choi is indeed pregnant and is not hiding out like Kim Hyun Joong's side seemed to be implying with their statement, since she is still very much in contact with them. This has now led Kim Hyun Joong's side to once again speak up saying that they want to clarify that they are not accusing Miss Choi of faking her pregnancy.

 

A Key East rep told Star News, "Kim Hyun Joong has never denied the fact that Miss Choi is pregnant... It is a shame that it's coming off as if Kim Hyun Joong is suspicious about Miss Choi being pregnant... The reason that Kim Hyun Joong had asked to go for a checkup with her is just to check up on the health of the baby and the mother."

 

The rep also revealed, "Kim Hyun Joong was contacted by Miss Choi back in January about her pregnancy and also received ultrasound pictures. Following this, he had requested to go for a checkup with her and their parents. However, there was no response to this request. What we meant when we said 'Kim Hyun Joong stated that if Choi's pregnancy is true, then he will be taking on the necessary responsibilities' in our previous statement, is that he wanted to check the health condition of the baby and Miss Choi."

 

Miss Choi's lawyer once again spoke out on this, telling EToday, "It seems that rather than being suspicious about whether Miss Choi is pregnant, their concern is more of whether the baby is Kim Hyun Joong's or not... We have plenty of documents, so it will not be hard to confirm it for them. If Kim Hyun Joong's side really wants to go through DNA testing to confirm, then we will have to oblige, but as both sides have suffered a lot of damage even now, we worry that this damage will continue to grow."

Kim Hyun Joong's side states Miss Choi did not appear at agreed hospital appointment

 

 

After ex-girlfriend Ms. Choi's lawyer confirmed she was pregnant, Kim Hyun Joong's agency clarified that he and his family's intention was not to assert she was faking her pregnancy but to check the condition of Ms. Choi and the baby as well as consult her family about the issue. KeyEast Entertainment has now stated that Ms. Choi did not appear at an agreed hospital appointment between both parties.

 

In an official statement on February 24, the agency stated once again that after receiving the news that Ms. Choi was pregnant, Kim Hyun Joong and his parents requested meetings between both families to settle matters and start discussing future plans.

KeyEast asserted that although there were multiple attempts to make appointments at Ms. Choi's hospital of choice, the offers were ignored. Kim Hyun Joong's side was then unable to contact Ms. Choi until her pregnancy went public through headlines on the 22nd. Though he and his parents tried to contact her after seeing the news, there was no response until the night of the 23rd. 

Kim Hyun Joong's agency stated, "Kim Hyun Joong's parents said that Ms. Choi only had time on one day, the 24th, and they promised to meet at the hospital of her choice at 2PM. However, even after the appointment time passed, Ms. Choi did not appear." KeyEast then reasserted that his parents were not contacting her to confirm the pregnancy, but rather to check the condition of the mother and child as well as to start communication between both families about intended plans.

The label further added, "It's hard to understand that the pregnancy was confirmed through Ms. Choi's lawyer as well as the fact that they have evidence. Determining whether or not she is pregnant is something that can be figured out at the hospital directly. There's no reason for either Ms. Choi or her lawyer to release evidence of the pregnancy to the public."

Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend Ms. Choi has denied reports that she did not appear at a promised hospital appointment set up by the SS501 member's side.

Her attorney stated to Osen on February 24, "It's a one-sided argument from Kim Hyun Joong's reps that my client promised and failed to appear for hospital care. We never responded to or made a promise about a hospital appointment."

He also added that Kim Hyun Joong had already been given evidence of Ms. Choi's pregnancy in the form of an ultrasound photo, "We've already sent over an ultrasound photo and proof of pregnancy to Kim Hyun Joong, so we don't understand why she has to receive another medical examination. There's no need. If he doesn't believe after seeing the evidence, it means he doesn't want to believe she is pregnant."

Ms. Choi's rep went on, "Kim Hyun Joong's side made an appointment for a medical examination, and we said we didn't respond. They've been contacting each other back and forth this whole time, but new reports are making it seem as if communication was cut off. How can we believe Kim Hyun Joong's side? We can only believe if they act honestly. Currently, I am discussing future measures with my client. I'm perplexed about the constant news material that's not true."

Ms. Choi states she will not marry Kim Hyun Joong + Dispatch reveals interview and text messages

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend Ms. Choi stated in an exclusive interview with Dispatch that she will not be marrying the idol star and actor despite her reportedly confirmed pregnancy. She also revealed text messages between herself and the SS501 member, sharing her side of the story. 

As previously mentioned, after ex-girlfriend Ms. Choi's lawyer confirmed she was pregnant, Kim Hyun Joong's agency clarified that he and his family's intention was not to assert she was faking her pregnancy but to check the condition of Ms. Choi and the baby as well as consult her family about the issue. KeyEast Entertainment then stated that Ms. Choi did not appear at an agreed hospital appointment between both parties. Her lawyer followed up by denying that Ms. Choi made a promise to appear.

The content of the Dispatch interview is as follows: 

Ms. Choi stated, "I don't understand myself either," commenting on why she decided to meet the man who she herself reported for physical abuse once again. She's also aware and understanding of the public's negative opinion of her and her pregnancy. As for the baby and any plans for marriage, Ms. Choi said, "I'm going to take responsibility for the baby. I will never marry Hyun Joong."

On the topic of Kim Hyun Joong and his family wanting her to prove the pregnancy, she responded, "Hyun Joong has never been suspicious of the pregnancy. He himself knows best whether I'm pregnant or not. He's the one who said he thinks he made a mistake first." She also shared that she decided to reunite with him in November of 2014, and they were together until the new year, spending the last two weeks of November on Jeju Island. 

Ms. Choi also stated that despite their initial breakup, Kim Hyun Joong sent her a birthday and flowers and showed up to see her drunk, resulting in a change of heart for her. She also commented that KeyEast Entertainment is trying to portray her as a calculating gold digger and causing a public fight. Ms. Choi then said that neither she nor Kim Hyun Joong expected the pregnancy, and both were confused by the sudden news as they had decided to end their relationship.

According to Ms. Choi, when she met with Kim Hyun Joong's father on January 6 of this year, the elder Mr. Kim made it apparent that he didn't want her to have the child, and Kim Hyun Joong apologized for his father's attitude. As for why she didn't meet with his parents for a hospital appointment, she explained that she felt pressured to go to a particular hospital and doctor, and because of the discomfort, she didn't give an answer and went to the hospital of her choosing. 

Ms. Choi also suggested that the reason she and Kim Hyun Joong broke up after their trip to Jeju Island was because he was seeing another woman. She stated that she found the woman's items in his bag. 

She concluded that though she's aware of what KeyEast Entertainment was protecting, both the agency and Kim Hyun Joong have marred her name. By taking this interview, Ms. Choi stated that her intention as a future mother was to clear her name and take responsibility for her child.

K: You're talking like that again. I thought maybe you used everything you had before.

 

C: This isn't the time for you to be taking care of my beauty supplies.

K: It's nothing. It's not hard to do that for you. You miss me, right?

C: No.

K: Really? Not even 1%? I still miss you. I think I'm crazy. It's the end now? My heart isn't ready yet. I want to prepare what I want to say and meet up with you. If it's really the end, I want to do everything for you that I couldn't before.
