What does Kim Hyun Joong think about his singing abilities?

 

Kim Hyun Joong confessed that while he knew he isn't the greatest singer, he still had a big improvement in his vocals over the years.

 

On July 22, Kim Hyun Joong had a press conference for his 3rd mini album at the Seoul Imperial Palace Hotel. During the press conference, he said, "In this album, there are songs that showcase my vocal ability. I know I'm not a singer who's recognized for singing ability, but I wanted to show that I've come this far."

 

He explained, "Next year, it's my 10th year as a singer. I wanted to show fans that even though I'm not perfect, I've come this far and that I improved."

Kim Hyun Joong ranks high on iTunes charts across Asia with 'Round 3'

 

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong's much awaited comeback with 'ROUND 3' is not only firing up fans domestically, but all over Asia as well.

 

After his song was released on the 22nd, it shot up to #1 on Thailand's iTunes Top Albums Chart, #3 in Singapore and Taiwan, #4 in Hong Kong, #5 in Philippines, and #7 in Malaysia, signifying his popularity as a Hallyu star.

 

His label Key East also heard the good news, and responded, "Since the album has various genres such as urban R&B and crossover hip-hop, it seems like many fans all over the world are focusing on it."

 

He'll be releasing his MV for his title track "Your Story" and the physical album on the 29th, but in the meantime, you can check out the teaser and his online album release in the previous article here.

'Episode Zero' of Kim Hyun Joong's starring drama 'City Conquest' gives a peek at the drama that will never air

Kim Hyun Joong's starring drama 'City Conquest' was previously canceled with KBS deciding to drop the show from its line up, leading Kim Hyun Joong himself to withdraw from the drama as well. However, fans are now able to get a peek at what the drama could have been like if it had aired with the reveal of an 'Episode Zero'.

 

DATV, a Japanese cable channel, recently decided to air the finished scenes of 'City Conquest' which were shot in Japan in a special preview titled, 'City Conquest, Episode Zero'.

As it's his first comeback stage in 2 years, a lot of people are looking forward to seeing him perform again, and his first one will be on the July 28 episode of 'Inkigayo'. He'll be performing "Your Story" and "Unbreakable".

Kim Hyun Joong revealed he is a fan of Crayon Pop!

 

On the July 27th broadcast of 'Entertainment Relay', Kim Hyun Joong shared, "I am a ghost-like sunbae. Whenever my hoobaes greet me, I run away because I feel awkward." The reporter added, "Whenever hoobaes greet you as a group, you're saying you feel awkward saying, 'I'm watching you well. Work hard.'" Kim Hyun Joong straightforwardly replied, "Honestly, I don't really watch them often. But I watch a lot of girl group videos on YouTube."

 

When asked, "Which girl group do you watch a lot on YouTube?", Kim Hyun Joong revealed, "Crayon Pop... In my 'Lucky Guy' choreography, I do a 'high high' move and Crayon Pop did the exact same choreography [for 'Bar Bar Bar'] when they go 'jumping yeah, jumping yeah'." He joked, "Should I sue them [for plagiarism]? In all seriousness, Crayon Pop is a girl group that I really like."

Brace yourselves ladies, Kim Hyun Joong has unveiled a scorching hot music video for his title track, "Your Story" from his latest mini-album 'Round 3'.

Kim Hyun Joong recruited the best of the best for his long awaited return. Renowned choreographer Lyle Beniga whipped up his dancing magic for "Unbreakable" and Keone Madrid choreographed title track, "Your Story". Jo Soo Hyun, the director behind the music videos for Psy, participated in the music video for "Your Story", while director Hong Won Ki participated in the music video for "Unbreakable". 

 

As mentioned previously, Dok2 featured in the R&B-style title track, "Your Story", while Jay Park added his attractive voice color to the track, "Unbreakable".

He dived in a swimming pool for the magazine photo shoot, and he was completely at home, especially since he'd become so close to the water on recent episodes of 'Barefoot Friends'.

 

The water also had a bonus effect of making his white shirt see-through and cling to his perfectly sculpted body. During the interview, he revealed that there was a song he had similar to Psy's "Gentleman" that he'd been working on since last year, but because Psy had come out first, they made "Your Story" instead.

The truth behind Kim Hyun Joong's fetish for ladies' stockings and school uniforms?

 

 

 

 

On the August 6 episode of SBS' 'Incarnation,' Kim Hyun Joong was accused of having a strange fetish for ladies' stockings and high school uniforms as he was sometimes spotted at a female costume shop in Japan.

 

Before he could even explain himself, MC Shin Dong Yup joked, "Let's respect his personal sexual tastes. That's being polite." Another guest star Kim Sung Kyung also added, "You can't help yourself but to have a fetish for objects if you're like Kim Hyun Joong who receives love from everyone."

 

Kim Hyun Joong laughed as he answered, "It's like I've become that kind of person. We should censor out my face or something."

 

The star explained that he was spotted by his fans when he went to purchase super heroes costumes (ie Batman) for his collection. Kim Hyun Joong shared that he was uncomfortable with the required strict order of hierarchy in the celebrity world.

 

The artist guest starred on August 6 installment of SBS' 'Incarnation' and explained about the rumor that he stopped acknowledging greetings from his juniors after he became a Hallyu star. 

 

Kim Hyun Joong revealed that he has been avoiding his juniors because he felt shy about receiving their greetings. He explained that he felt like they were almost robotic as if they came from the army. He commented, "It's like we're in North Korea. I feel like I have become the leader. The star style magazine 'High Cut' revealed a video of the singer-actor underwater, gliding in the water easily. He revealed that he was really scared of water because of the movie 'Jaws', but he also confessed that he had 6 different scuba diving licenses.

 

In fact, he's so into scuba diving that when he gets old, he wants to build a house in Jeju Island and open a scuba shop. He said, "I'm not an environmentalist, but when I go scuba diving, I realize that even though the ocean is so beautiful on top, inside it's very dirty. I want to make a group of scuba divers who clean up the ocean."

 

On SS501 ever coming back together, he said, "I think about it, but the reality to make it happen isn't so easy. Something I can say easily becomes a source of unconfirmed hope for my fans. Even if we get hurt, we should face reality."

Max Changmin was unable to participate in the filming of ‘Our Neighborhood’s Master of Variety and Sports’ due to a scheduling conflict.

TVXQ’s Max Changmin was unable to participate in the training session and match that took place in the Taereung Training Center on the 7th of August. This was because of a scheduling conflict with a TVXQ concert that had been planned months in advance.

The staff of the variety show explained, “Unfortunately, Max Changmin was unable to participate n the filming of the latest episode because of his overseas activities. However, he will return to the show next week and will participate in the upcoming match as planned. As Max Changmin’s is extremely passionate about badminton, he was very disappointed that he wouldn’t be able to participate in the training session at the Taereung Training Center with Korea’s national team.â€

Luckily, his lip injury from the latest episode has healed significantly. The staff stated, “Max Changmin’s absence from the latest filming session is not because of an injury.â€

Max Changmin’s empty spot will be filled by Kim Hyun Joong, who met the celebrity team for the first time on the 7th to participate in their training session. It was revealed that the staff and Kim Hyun Joong have been discussing a possible appearance on the show for quite some time. Kim Hyun Joong will be appearing on the show for at least three weeks to participate in the team’s badminton matches.

We obviously look at him in a very different light. He might not be my bias in SS501 but I do have an appreciation for the work he has put out... he is hardworking, determined and sincere with his approach to his work. He obviously doesn't meet to your expectations as a singer but I do enjoy him as an entertainer. I agree many people are fans of his because of his looks but he also has many other qualities to like. Although he does not have the best technique, he does have a pleasant tone and has become more consistant.

SS501's Kim Hyung Jun releases special digital single 'Always Love You' feat. Sunny Hill's Kota MV teaser

 

 

Kim Hyung Jun has released the music video teaser for his special digital single "Always Love You".

 

The SS501 member produced the duet track, which features Sunny Hill's Kota, himself. The music video was directed by Kim Do Yeon, who's worked on IU's "Last Fantasy" and Wanted's "Going to You", and movie director Park Jong Chul, so you should have high expectations.

 

The song is about a couple looking back on a vacation getaway. Check out the MV teaser above, while you wait for the full release on the 13th!
