I can't highlight the smiley, but seriously... this MV, "like" is not one of them.  It has completely lost of the musical side; for me, this is about power, b-boi, gangsta, alpha male, that kind of thing.  Whilst some of you can, I cannot appreciate the musical side of this.  Actually, there is nothing to appreciate except for the visual.  Although I am disappointed, I was expecting this kind of MV because it's like KHJ to release something as bad (as in badass) as this.  But, for all those who like it, keep enjoying.  I hope you're not amongst those like me who just feel- BLEHHHH about the MV.

I can't highlight the smiley, but seriously... this MV, "like" is not one of them.  It has completely lost of the musical side; for me, this is about power, b-boi, gangsta, alpha male, that kind of thing.  Whilst some of you can, I cannot appreciate the musical side of this.  Actually, there is nothing to appreciate except for the visual.  Although I am disappointed, I was expecting this kind of MV because it's like KHJ to release something as bad (as in badass) as this.  But, for all those who like it, keep enjoying.  I hope you're not amongst those like me who just feel- BLEHHHH about the MV.

Kim Hyun Joong reveals he doesn't worry too much about rumors + talks about being drunk when doing the 'cutie player'

 

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong has been in the business for a while and revealed his sense of responsibility as a celebrity in the public eye.

 

In an interview with @star1, Kim Hyun Joong talked about how he deals with rumors and shared, "I don't think I had any incidents that I needed to explain... Even if there is a rumor, I don't worry about it much. I know my fans believe in me."

 

"But as much as I have a career in the public eye and receive a lot of love and support, I always try to be careful and act with responsibility."

 

Kim Hyun Joong also revealed the behind-the-scenes story about his drunken cutie player and shared, "I said that I did it after I drank alcohol. I couldn't say that this was done while I was sober... This video was first unveiled during my fan meeting. Because it was my first fan meeting in Seoul in a long time, I wanted to show my fans something memorable so after much thought, I decided to take on the cutie player."

 

"My fans know that I'm not good with those kind of things and that I don't usually do it. That is why I drank beer and filmed the video with the help of my friends. I think my fans' response was even better because they know that they might not see this kind of rare video ever again."

Kim Hyun Joong goes for 'Round 3' in new mini-album + "Your Story" MV teaser

 

 

 

Last week, Kim Hyun Joong pre-released "Unbreakable" featuring Jay Park as a prelude to the release of his third mini-album, 'Round 3' which has finally been released online today.

 

Kim Hyun Joong recruited the best of the best for his long awaited return. Renowned choreographer Lyle Beniga whipped up his dancing magic for "Unbreakable" and Keone Madrid choreographed title track, "Your Story". Jo Soo Hyun, the director behind the music videos for Psy, participated in the music video for "Your Story", while director Hong Won Ki participated in the music video for "Unbreakable".

 

As mentioned previously, Dok2 featured in the R&B-style title track, "Your Story", while Jay Park added his attractive voice color to the track, "Unbreakable".  Other songs from the album include: mid-tempo acoustic song, "As It Used to Be", urban pop song "Gentleman", a confessional R&B track, "I'm Yours", and the upbeat "Let's Party".

 

The hard copies of 'Round 3' won't be available until July 29th.

In conjunction with the release of his latest mini-album 'Round 3', Kim Hyun Joong revealed behind-the-scenes footage of the filming for his star1 Magazine pictorial.

 

The sexy soloist smolders in a wife-beater and leather jacket while filming on an old school bus. He also has some pictures shots on a train track and on a rain soaked bridge. Though the surroundings are relatively simple, Kim Hyun Joong manages to look gorgeous while doing very little actual posing.

Thanks for the welcome!  My mom likes kyu jong. His whole album was her shit. I've been reading the reviews and there are people who loved it and there are people who feel like you. Musicially I understand what you're saying.

 

Here is how i see it:

 

Hyun Joong always been a bit of a bad boy. When he did BOF it sort of ruin his cred sort of speak. It was a double edge sword because while it did elevate him successfully, the way people viewed him changed. I mean think about it, what masculine man wants to be known as a flower boy and while he did look like a pretty boy for a minute, he always let it be known he is a dude. From what I gather about his past, he is no stranger to "the streets" since he lived on his own and worked at restaurants before joining DSP. The fact that he knew the handshake him and Crown J did on WGM clued me in on another side of him we haven't seen. The problem is people keep viewing him as ji hoo therefore its harder to except that he has this "gangsta/alpha male" side to him.

Kim Hyun Joong, who recently made a Korean comeback after 2 years, opened up about his growth as an artist in an interview with Focus Newspaper.

 

Kim Hyun Joong shared, "I am 28 years old now, so I probably shouldn't be called an idol anymore. I want to show my maturity whether it's through my outgoing personality or music... I learned how to relax on stage. This album also contains different genres of music."

 

"My hoobaes don't have to follow in my footsteps. I want to do things that I want to try right now. I took on powerful choreography for 'Unbreakable', and I wondered if I could still perform this dance 3 years later."

 

 

Concerning his transformation from a 'pretty boy' to a more charismatic image, the singer recalled, "During my 'Boys Over Flowers' days, I wanted to show a manly image. But I leaned more towards a young, pretty boy image. But now I really became a 'man'."

 

When asked about his secret to longevity as an artist, Kim Hyun Joong answered, "I really don't know. I just kept doing the things I wanted to do, and I came to this day somehow... Whenever I perform at a concert, I always try to get closer with the audience and I normally try to treat my fans well. I am well aware that I was able to come this far because of my fans. I want to give my fans a 'free fan meeting' when I hit my 10th anniversary."

Okay, this just doesn't suit him.  And why with the semi-naked self???  Honestly, he must think that his music isn't doing very well if he uses his visual appearance to lure the audience.  Gotta say, I agree with him.

I know what you mean.  People can't be rid of the image of him in BOF and 'Mischievous Kiss'.  For the majority, he'll stay the flower boy.  I've always seen him as the bad boy in SS501 what with his taste and character... it must have been out of his comfort zone to act like a flower boy when he is the complete opposite in personality: a bad boy.  Even when watching it, he doesn't have the eloquence and style which Lee Min Ho pulled off so well as someone born of noble-birth.  KHJ was lacking in that respect.  I don't think he should continue acting as the hero, perhaps the anti-hero because I think he would suit that role a lot better. 

 

Any semi-naked celebrities bring the sexual prowess in women, of course, but how-ever much I love SS501... KHJ would never do it for me.
