The battle rages on between Kim Hyun Joong and ex-girlfriend in court

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend publicly known as Ms. Choi were unable to settle their dispute during the latest court appeal.

 

On January 11, the appeals trial was held for the singer's case regarding damage compensation.  Choi's lawyer stated, "From the originally agreed amount of 1.6 billion KRW ($1.34 million USD) in damage charges, the amount was changed to 700 million KRW ($588,000 USD)."  The reason for the change was, "In the process of deciding whether the two people want to start their relationship over, and Kim's parents rejecting Ms. Choi's offer, a compensation for damages was established due to mental stress."

 

According to a source, King Hyun Joong's side revealed a total of 600 million KRW ($504,000 USD) in settlement money was paid, violating the settlement.  

 

On the other hand, Kim Hyun Joong's legal representative stated that Ms. Choi agonized Mr. Kim in faking a pregnancy, and insisted the related context is accurate.  Regardless, "Kim Hyun Joong believed her at that time when she claimed to have a miscarriage after the singer assaulted her. She then submitted documentations relating to the pregnancy, eventually leading to a strong response."

 

Also, "leading up to his military enlistment, not only was Kim Hyun Joong faced with incredible defamation, it's the question of whether he can recover and resume his celebrity life," the representative commented.

 

It was also revealed back on January 6 that Ms. Choi was charged with defamation and attempted fraud according to the prosecutors' publications.  

 

The court revealed, "This appeal's future trial will be determined after carefully reviewing the necessary documentations provided by the prosecutor," upon entering, without confirming any dates for the second trial. 

 

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong is scheduled to be discharged from the military on February 11.

Kim Hyun Joong returns from his mandatory military service, greeted by over 1,500 fans

 

 

On February 11 (KST), singer/actor Kim Hyun Joong returned from his mandatory military service, after actively serving in the ROK army's 30th division in Gyeonggi-do's Goyang city since May of 2015. 

 

Over 1,500 domestic and international fans gathered with various signs, posters, and welcoming faces to greet Kim Hyun Joong. 

 

He stated upon his return to the press, "Thank you for coming such a long way despite the cold. I felt a lot while in the army, and I was relieved of my duty feeling like it is time for me to begin anew, with the second half of my life. In truth, I'm still very worried and fearful about things, but in the army, I thought of ways to combat what I'm going through and vowed that I would, so I hope that fans will trust me and watch over me."

SS501's Kim Kyu Jong has dropped his highlight medley for 'Play in Nature Part. 3 Snow Flake'! 

 

'Snow Flake' is Kim Kyu Jong's third single album, which features "Melt" as its title track. In his MV teaser for "Melt", the singer revealed an emotional acoustic ballad, and it sounds like his upcoming album follows the same theme.

SS501 rumored to be getting back together

 

 

According to an exclusive report on December 30 KST, 2nd generation idol group SS501 is rumored to be getting back together. 

 

It seems the rumors surfaced as a result of SS501's recent reunion for their 10th anniversary event in Japan. 4 of the group's members - Kim Hyun Joong, Park Jung Min, Heo Young Saeng, and Kim Kyu Jong - met up in Japan and discussed the possibility of getting back together, reports said. Maknae Kim Hyung Jun, currently serving in the army, was unable to join the rest. 

 

Supposedly, during a recent interview, Park Jung Min shared, "It's true that we discussed [getting back together], even though nothing has been confirmed as of yet." According to insiders, the 4 members discussed matters in detail, from new song release plans, concerts and performances, promotional periods, and more. 

 

The members of SS501 separated on their own paths back in June of 2010, when their contracts with DSP Media came to an end. Maknae Kim Hyung Jun is scheduled to be discharged from his mandatory military service in December of 2018.

Kim Hyun Joong shows love for his pups on Instagram

 

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong recently posted pictures on Instagram with his dogs.

 

The picture was captioned: "Going on an outing with Art and Matic."

 

Kim Hyun Joong looks particularly fashionable in his wine-colored turtleneck and beige coat. He is smiling brightly at the camera with his two dogs in the shot. Netizens responded warmly to the pictures by commenting "The dogs are so cute" and "Kim Hyun Joong looks good-looking as always." 

 

It looks like Kim Hyun Joong is starting 2018 off right by spending quality time with his pets!

Prosecutors seek a sentence of 1 year and 4 months in jail for Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend

 

 

 

Prosecutors are seeking a jail sentence for Kim Hyun Joong's ex-girlfriend.

 

They are seeking a sentence of 1 year and 4 months for 'A' for attempted fraud. They took into account that 'A' forged her texts about pregnancy, that there are traces of tempering and editing on her photo of the pregnancy test, as well as the suing Kim Hyun Joong even though her claims that she had a miscarriage from violence were false. They also stated that her interviewing with media saying she had miscarried from assault was a strict case of spreading false information.

 

She will be tried on February 8.
