Oh yeah.  I was over at the old forum.  Kim Hyun Joong was the first one in SS501 I noticed, because he was in the Korean version of Meteor Garden/Hana Yori Dango.

SS501 want to reunite again like Shinhwa?

 

 

SS501‘s Heo Young Saeng gave hope to fans with his wish to possibly reunite like the longest-running idol group Shinhwa.

 

During a recent filming for KBS2TV‘s ‘Happy Together 3‘, Heo Young Saeng revealed he’s been thinking a lot about his group SS501 these days with the pending comeback of Shinhwa. He shared, “When I look at Shinhwa, who continues to gain popularity without breaking up over the past 15 years, it makes me reflect [on my own group].† 

 

“After watching Shinhwa on ‘Win Win‘, I thought of my SS501 members and sent text messages to them. The other members were also watching that broadcast with the same heart,†revealing the members’ special bond that they’ve gained throughout their years together.

Don't take this the wrong way, but them re-uniting doesn't necessarily mean the rebirth of SS501 era.  I would absolutely love for them to have a one-night-only reunion between them and the fans (which I said before in the old forum).  I personally don't want them to reunite for real because time has passed, and I'd rather they sing their old songs as to re-live memory... hm

Kim Hyun Joong Donates $100,000 to Earthquake Victims in China

 

 

Kim Hyun Joong’s good deed is drawing the attention of the public.

 

On May 20, China’s local independent public fundraising foundation One Foundation tweeted about Kim Hyun Joong’s donation. There have already been 10,000 retweets, making it clear that many fans are deeply interested in the news.

 

China experienced a severe earthquake on April 20, which ended up to be 7.0 on the Richter scale. Over 200 people died and 13,000 are injured.

 

The foundation’s report, which was released on May 17, stated, “Korean artist Kim Hyun Joong donated 100 million won (est. $100,000) to the Chinese earthquake victims.â€

 

The report continued, “We’ll try to help the victims with the donation. We will pray for the victims’ happiness in his stead.â€

 

Netizens who heard of the news made comments nothing short of praise. Some of them were “Kim Hyun Joong’s donation is cool,†“He’s loaded,†“Since he donated, he looks even more handsome,†and “He’s awesome.â€

 

One Foundation is founded by Chinese actor and martial artist Jet Li in 2007. Other celebrities who have donated to the foundation include, but not limited to, Ang Lee, Chow Yun Fat, Donatella Versace and Jackie Chan.

My bias in SS501 is Kim Hyun Joong, in fact, his is my 2nd Ultimate bias right behind Lee Joon of MBLAQ~

Anyway you won't really see me on this thread as much as I would like since MBLAQ is making a Comeblaq tonight and they did come first so I gotta support my babies but when it calms down I will be back on this thread and the SHINee thread -which I still haven't posted on~- rigorously~

Trying to give something for the fans to always remember, Kim Hyun Joong shook the hands of Japanese fans for more than six hours. 

 

On June 4, Kim Hyun Joong held a special event for the release of his third single Tonight at the Tokyo Nakano Sun Plaza, where 10,000 fans showed up to see the star.

 

 

The gathering took place as an album release event and a handshake event, as well as a surprise birthday party for Kim Hyun Joong, who will be celebrating his birthday on June 6. 

 

It′s said that around 8,000 fans were waiting outside of the hall for the handshake event to start when Kim Hyun Joong made a special request to the event staff to go ahead and seat the fans inside the hall away from the hot weather. 

 

Kim Hyun Joong then proceeded to go around and greet every single fan at their seat for the next six hours, differing from other handshake events where the fans approach the star.

 

 

A Universal Music staff member stated, “It’s a given that he shows mature music every time he releases a new album, but it’s Kim Hyung Joong’s special charm to take care of the well-being of his fans, who have waited a long time to see him – that’s something you don’t find in every star.†

Meanwhile, Kim Hyun Joong will be releasing a special digital single for his fans in Korea in time for his birthday on June 6.

Kim Hyun Joong releases surprise single for fans "Why I'm Alive..." as he celebrates his birthday!

 

 

Hallyu superstar Kim Hyun Joong has revealed a new song as a surprise for his fans!

 

Titled "Why I'm Alive...", the song has been released to celebrate his birthday as well as thank fans who have been with him all these years, still faithfully waiting for his domestic release.

 

As you might guess from the title, the song includes lyrics that express that his beloved fans are the reason he lives.

 

He'll perform this ballad for the first time through his fanmeeting in Korea on the 8th, '2013 KHJ Show - Party People', so for those of you going, make sure you take a listen to the song first!
