I also don't like BDSM. The book is much better but the phrasing is so weird. Some of the lines are cheesy as fuck and sound even worse in the movie. The subject is tricky too. Also, while I usually don't mind a bit of BDSM in a story (not real life) this takes it too far to the extent that its no longer BDSM but outright abuse.
