What route do you guys think Girls Day will go with their next comeback and what route do you WANT them to go?

Keep with the sexy concept or go back to the cutesy/aegyo type concept?

They do both really well, but I'd like them to keep on the Nothing Lasts Forever/Expectation road.

However, as long as the song is really catchy, I think it doesn't matter. The song will be successful.

What I would like: Remain with the sexy concept

What I think they are going to do: Something like Don't Forget Me. It's not overly cute and they look a little bit more mature.

I know I'll like it anyway

The only unlikely scenario would be to go back to the overly cute concept right now and I think that wouldn't take advantage of the spotlight they're having now.

I can't see them doing cute anymore, the girls don't want to anyway.  I don't think they will go back to their old cute styles, but they will probably do something cute, it a more mature way.

Don't be so sure, sooner or later they will do something like their old cute style again, mark my words.

And when they do that, you won't hear the girls saying they didn't want to do. They are just going with the flow. lol

Some times better with no straps...

But with no straps, their pants would fall... wow, I see what you mean

Only just getting into Girls Day now. Expect was amazing. Favorite title track this year by a landslide  :ilikeit:  :ilikeit:  :ilikeit:  :ilikeit: .

I already like you. Expectation IS the best song of the year! lol

The pants should be tighter, maybe she lost weight during the promotions?

The pants looked more tight in music shows because they have the audio equipment on the back pockets.

In these events they don't sing live, so the pants are loose. And I don't believe they lost weight.

At least that's my theory and I'm almost sure it's correct :P

^ What?

I can understand the audio equipment part, but what do you mean they don't sing live? I swear I can hear their voices.

I can't say that they don't sing live in all events, but I think most of them...

Damn you for noticing. She's still perfect in my biased mind. And that first pic of Minah is so lovely!

Have Hyeri ever taken a selca without doing the duck face?

What's the matter, Thi? Are you afraid of ducks? (I heard they can bite your "toy" quite hard)

LMAO

I don't mind about some selcas with duck face, but she looks much better in the last photo you sent.

@thi: random question but what did you like more, Mystic White or Dazzling Red?

Easy question, Mystic White. Lizzy and Bora closed the deal for me.

What about you? Dazzling Red right lol?

Girl’s Day participate in campaign to end school violence with free hugs

Girl’s Day have joined forces with the Bundang police to end school violence.

On May 7, the lovely ladies of Girl’s Day made their appearance for the end school violence campaign held at Rodeo Street, Bundang. The group treated fans to another round of free hugs, sharing the love and fight against hate crimes.

A representative commented, “Sexual assault, domestic violence, school violence, and these four types of violence should be stopped. In order to end school violence, Girl’s Day have stepped forward to actively participate [in the campaign]. We hope this becomes a catalyst for many people to come together to end these four types of violence.â€

That's the part that immediately stuck out to me too.  It's so interesting how girls can do little subconscious gestures like this that can totally pull a guy in.  Like biting the lower lip, etc.

I still think they do it on purpose to tease us lol

It makes me sad that the girls are always obsessed about losing weight, what's the point in being so thin that almost look like they are going to break when they start walking (I'm not saying that Yura have reached this point). And if they are so thin, there isn't anything to grab... For now, Yura is still looking fine, but if she still want to lose more weight, she should stop.

Yeah, I think GsD and DS are in a different group than NM. The exception I can think of is exactly the one you have already pointed out, Gaeun.

I just started to appreciate more NM, but I still prefer more chubby groups like GsD/DS. And tbh they are not even that chubby...

And I have seen the photos you're talking about, a while ago IU was also in the media about it. Some people gain weight very easily and some people are always thin no matter how much they eat. As you said, the important thing is to be healthy and I think all GsD members are.

^ I know what you mean. This is the way the eastern culture is, so we have to respect, but I don't agree.

But I think most of the companies put a lot of pressure on idols to lose weight, so it's not so much a thing they do on purpose. I heard countless times, girl groups members talking about hiding food from managers and complaining about rigid diets. So if the companies are imposing that on idols, fans should speak up...

^ My problem is that sometimes the companies go too far... They have to practice for hours everyday and sometimes have a busy schedule, if they don't have a healthy diet, they are going to end up in a hospital. You know this happens. So again, is it worth just to keep a stupid beauty standard? Is it really necessary, I don't think so. I wouldn't care if they got a little bit more weight.

^ Yeah, I'm surprised because is actually being good for her, some cameos, a lot of attention from casual fans, more media exposure...

She didn't do much, but she handle everything very well.

Oh, man.  I can't believe you consider her chubby.

I guess that word means something else when you're talking about kpop idols.

If you saw her in real life, I think you'd be struck at how thin she is.  And the super thin idols are even thinner, to the point of looking frail.

Perception is weird.  Sometimes, I think those really thin idols look great, but other times, it bothers me...like when a girl's leg looks thinner than my arm.

Hmm...the only time I can think of when chubby might be used to describe a kpop girl idol is maybe Secret during the SLML promotions.  And they were actually super popular with the guys.  And of course, they all lost a lot of weight now and are thinner than they've ever been.

It's the girls that seem the most extreme with the skinny ideal.  Guys generally do not prefer their girls to be that skinny.

After discussing it a lot yesterday with NBM (lol), it's like what you said, it's a matter of perception and the place you live. And Asians seems to really like thinner girls. Probably you're not from an Asian country and like me have a different beauty standard when it comes to weight. Btw, the chubby thing is really an exaggeration, none of them is really chubby, it's just a way we are using to compare thin and super thin girls in kpop lol
