Please, no new member, things are perfect just the way they are now. I don't care if it's someone talented or not, the four girls are getting along so well and are so amazing on stage, I don't want anything ruining that.

Well, Jihae was not the most talented singer, she was just average in that, we all now that dancing was her game.

So it's not so hard for the other girls to replace her, I think Hyeri can handle that.

4 is the perfect number of members for a group, IMO.  So no complaints from me here.  Any more and you really start getting overlapping talents and overshadowed members.

 

But ya, if a new member was a total hottie, I wouldn't be complaining either.

I wasn't really following GsD before JiHae, at the time of NLF, I really had no opinion about any of the girls except Minah. Rewatching some past MVs, I began to like JiHae more. I usually think it's a bit sad when a member leaves. Unless it was because of some obvious friction or blunder, you can never be sure what the real reason was. I don't think GsD is any better or worse off without a 5th member. I think they would've done just as well with JiHae with a song like Expectation.

 

In my opinion if either Yura or Hyeri had left instead of Jihae, it probably would've made no difference. For me Sojin and Minah are the indispensable members because of their singing talents. To be more frank if a member had to leave at that time, I would've been least disappointed if it were Hyeri (sorry Hyeri fans). Right now, I definitely don't want to see a new member. I don't want to see anybody leave either.

 

4 members is a good number. If they play games like on that guru pop show, how would they have divided a 5 member group for that balloon squashing hug game?

 

Yura is so popular, if you realize the photographers and fancamers dedicated to her, you'll have an idea of how important she is to the group. Tbh I think a big part of the fans would be enraged if she left. Of course Jihae had her fans, but I didn't notice so much commotion over her departure, or maybe I didn't pay attention. I was always more attached to the other members than to Jiahe (again @NBM, I'm not saying I hate her, you have a hard time to understand that lol), so I would be sad if any of the other members had left the group instead of her.

 

But you gave us the best argument for keeping GsD with 4 members, and even number is better for variety shows lol

Ok, I think you were talking about me too in your other post, so let me know if my answer gives you some peace of mind. You shouldn't be upset over this. We had the discussion about Jihae before, so I thought everything was clear about this. And I'll remind you again, I never said I hate her.

 

First of all, when you like some group, it doesn't mean that you have to love all of their songs or that you have to love all the members the same way. After all, most of us have bias in the group, right?

 

If you ask me if the group seems to work better without Jihae, in my opinion they do. She was always my least favorite member, I'll say it again, I didn't hate her, I just didn't care so much about her. I always thought she didn't fit the group so good as the other members, and for this I can't give you a better explanation, because it was just my feeling.

 

I don't think anyone here is just bashing Jihae, WE ARE ALL GSD FANS being honest about how we feel. What's wrong with that? I wouldn't be happy if we couldn't say what we really think and this thread would be boring if we had to talk only about rainbows, flowers and long walks on the beach. Sometimes I read things that I don't agree, but I accept that. In the group thread, we should be safe to be more open about that, because there's no outsider here.

I don't expect people to like all the girls, I have a least fav member of all my fave groups. My argument is that it's kinda rude/selfish to want somebody out of the group just because you don't like her that much. And I also feel it's kinda rude/selfish to be so happy and not care that the member is gone.

 

It just makes it sound like she was the demon/villain of the group. As if she was a dragging the group down, I simply find it harsh.

I understand what you're saying and I don't think she was the reason why GsD never make it big. Nobody forced her to leave the group, but I keep what I wrote before.

 

As Avid64 said, she wants to study and improve, so don't feel so upset, she's happy now.
