The Wonder Girls members revealed why they chose Park Jin Young′s song I Feel You as their lead single.

Wonder Girls held a comeback showcase for third full-length album Reboot at the Hyundai Card Understage in Seoul′s Yongsan-gu on August 3, where they brought up Park Jin Young.

On why they chose Park Jin Young′s song as their lead single, Sunmi said, "Producer Park Jin Young let us hear the song while we were working on intstrumentals together. It′s a different track from what it originally felt like, but when we first heard it, it sounded really fresh. It was a sound you don′t here today, and I remember thinking ′This is a really good song′ as soon as I heard it."

Ye Eun said, "There are songs that give you goosebumps, and I Feel You was that kind of song. After we decided on I Feel You, we began working on it. If we were going to make a retro album from track one to 12, we resolved to create an album that really reflects the 1980s when we began making the album."

Meanwhile, Wonder Girls returned after three years on August 3 with the release of Reboot at noon. Lead single I Feel You topped eight music charts, including MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, Olleh Music, Soribada, Genie, Naver and Monkey3, within two hours of its release.

The Wonder Girls members composed and wrote the lyrics to all of the songs in the album with the exception of the lead single, showing off their talents as singer-songwriters. Wonder Girls′ new album is a reinterpretation of ′80s genres, including freestyle, retro pop and slow jams. Park Jin Young composed and wrote the lyrics to I Feel You. It is inspired by the freestyle music that came out of the Latin American community in New York in the ′80s, featuring synth instruments and a syncopated base rhythm.

They should have picked a different song. Honestly the album has so many great songs and they picked they weakest one.

I honestly think that like Tell Me (which iirc was, likewise, not received well initially), this song has the potential to go viral because it is addictive, so they chose it.

just admit bcs he is the boss

because it's jyp and they had to

I doubt they picked it cause he's the boss(he's just a producer, not the ceo), they probably really liked the song. JYPE artist aren't afraid of rejecting JYPs songs. They reject his shit all the time.
