  1. Please no 'this is so random!!!1' because this is in Random.
  2. Most of Kpop fans compared AKB48 and SNSD when they know SNSD will win because of the different genres and shame AKB48 for their bikinis and all - How about a reversal?

I never thought I would say this in 2015 when I thought AKB48's music would go even worse from last year but AKB48 wins in a landslide. Not many idol groups can pull out brilliant long dubstep and EDM like this.

Are they fighting against Sones on that video?  I mean they have pink lightsabers.

Knowing that SNSD is one of their rivals for getting that Asia's girl group title (which boggles me, because why can't we have two.), then it's probably made for that symbolism.

This is a tough choice, but my personal favorite is SNSD on a beach because after all the drama last year, it was refreshing to see them bright and happy again.

But props to AKB48 for making it a tough choice for me, I was totally loving the music video and I'm not even a fan of j-pop.

They both sucked. Let's just wait for the real girl group bop of the summer:

Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai was a massive bop too, I thought you liked dubstep and EDM. :derp:

Different genre though

One of better songs from AKB lately, Paruru's face never fail to make me laugh, lol

However, the song sounds suitable for their autumn single more to me

Party has more summer feel & the MV is what i want to see in this period, so Party >

This is exactly what AKB48 fandom said when AKB48 released Ponytail to Chouchou and Everyday Kachuusa in the 2010 and 2011 summer when people compared them to SNSD.

Those bunch are not being dishonest/unfair.

They are just very picky/choosy about which standards to apply for each comparison.

I don't know where you got that from...

Anyway, my review of the song:

Well this is different. The first thing I think of when I hear this is SEKAI NO OWARI’s “Dragon Night.†It has that mix of country and electronic sounds like that song had. I find it interesting in this case because it doesn’t sound like a million other songs I’ve heard from them. There’s a very prominent acoustic guitar here. There are also these really squelchy synths that are an interesting touch and make you think the song is going to go to some other places (it doesn’t). The main thing I don’t like about this song is that it’s very flat. The vocals are so lifeless. And the song drags on, it doesn’t really go anywhere. It’s just there. 4/10

Yes, there is a lot of hypocrisy about this.

How?

I think i used wrong word

I'm not used to hearing AKB's summer single with this sound, i'm just their casual fan

It's cool but lifeless to me

But before Party, SNSD never have a summer comeback ever sine Genie (2009), how can you guys compare summer single with The Boys then? lol . It would make more sense to compare with UZA

I didn't participate in that SNSD vs AKB back in 2010 & 2011 i suppose  :derp:

There is no truth, you ask for people's own, subjective opinion, so you'll get that one.

You're comparing a quote from 5 years ago with a quote from now... eh, you should realise that they're all just a bunch of comments of random people (that are also a constantly different group of random people too) each with their own opinion, taste and preference.

If you want truth, then it's simply that people have their own opinions, tastes, preferences and viewpoints and that if they conflict, it doesn't mean one is truth and the other is a lie

2010, 2011. Wasn't that the time SNSD came out with Mr Taxi and Japanese Gee and Genie?

I can see why people liked those better (they were all seriously catchy), but if there were also people that preferred the AKB48 summer song for them, well, that's their choice and understandable too, nice for them :)
