Kaela Kimura announces the release of Rock on October 30th!

KAELA KIMURA founded her private label, ELA, on June 23rd, the day of her 9th debut anniversary. As her first release from the new label, she would be releasing her first collaboration cover album, “ROCKâ€. It had been announced before that Takkyu Ishino, Chara and the overseas artist, POP ETC would be participating in the album. This time, the 2nd group of artists to participate in the album was announced.

The three artists announced this time were N’SHUKUGAWA BOYS, Predawn, and the girls’ band from Sao Paulo, Brazil, CSS. It would be interesting to see what kind of sound would come about when Kimura and each of these artists collaborate. The release date of the album would be October 30. The deluxe bag, “Sexy Record & Crutch Bagâ€, designed exclusively by KIMURA would be included as bonus content for the Limited Production First Press Edition A.

Including the aforementioned edition, “ROCK†will be released in three different forms: The other two editions being the First Press Edition B that comes as an LP-sized paper sleeve CD with a poster of KIMURA and the Standard Edition. Each edition will feature different cover artworks.

For the album “ROCKâ€, KAELA chose songs by international artists from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s who she felt made the biggest impact on her as influences to create covers with her favorite modern artists from both within and outside of Japan.
