Looking at the negative posts here on GD's looks, it certainly reminds me of the olden times of BB.

YG told them one by one that they're are going to be idols. Each one was surprised and baffled.

Each one thought they weren't good looking enough to be idols. They thought they weren't good looking at all!

YG did not tell Daesung of his plan making them idols.

 

True to what they had thought, when they debuted, the shots of insults were plenty. Quite a lot of degrading comments on their heights and especially faces . Although they had expected it,  the insults made them pretty down. But, they didn't want to change anything on their face.

 

Despite all that, unlike many other artists who went under the knife for a few facial changes here and there towards them looking perfect (to themselves/to the company), Big Bang members didn't buckle under pressure of the aesthetics.

 

Bigbang went big anyway, through what they wanted = their music. And they went REALLY HUGE.

This korean group became extremely big locally and internationally.

Reading the many confessions of plastic surgeries from artists (from big music companies), I salute them (BB) for staying true to what's been given to them.
