Everyone knows WG as a dance group but having a band concept is different and is giving them a lot of attention because of it. If WG came back with a dance track and it wasn't as good as their previous release they could get a lot of negative feedback whereas with a band concept they have more room to improve and get less criticism because they still did something different. Yeah they have to for music shows, they don't have a system that allow them to play live. They can play live on sketchbook thought, so I hope they can make an appearance there. From a fan's perspective who has followed them since forever, I think the girls wanted this. It would make sense that they came up with this (and of course, got approved) - Yeeun mentioned before how the girls would sit down in their apartment and talk about concepts. They have creative control. In fact, if I remember it correctly, this upcoming album will have songs written, composed and/or produced by the members, but they (and JYPE staff, collectively) chose a JYP-produced title track among the other nine tracks that'll be in the album. I also think they want to prove themselves as musicians and away from the idol label. I also wanna add that this is a great opportunity, especially for Lim who was kinda thrown in the mix and stuck with the cute role Sunmi used to previously hold in WG. No song and dance teaser would create hype like this. This is different (for a SK pop group not named AoA). Everyone is excited and inspired. This comeback concept is genius.
