Please enforce the official Israel/Palestine news thread in the Current News & Events section. People keep making new threads that should be merged into it.

I'll look through and try to filter some of the topics in that section into the official thread, but I won't be merging every single one nor will I do it to recently created ones and here's why:

 

I believe that topics that bring up a new event deserves the chance to stand by itself for some time. Not everyone follows official threads and won't always be checking for updates within it, or they might miss it all together. This is for the same reason why I don't merge topics that are created sharing official news about an artist when it could just go into an artist thread.

 

If it's a topic that's just randomly stating an opinion then I agree completely that we could just push that into the official thread for Israel/Palestine news, but I'll give some time to the threads created to share new information before doing the same to them.

Not nice at all. Numerous troll threads about Hyoyeon stay opened until someone reports it after several pages and then it's locked. I make a thread asking about SNSD subunits and it gets deleted? Doesn't sound fair.

I'm sorry, but I wasn't around when the report was handled so I can't speak for any decision that is made. I can say, however, if you find threads like you mentioned you can always bring them to me and I will take care of it.

Thank you for deleting my SNSD thread. Now I know that any time someone posts something remotely negative about my faves, I can just cry about it and have it deleted. Amazing precedent you set there.
