Ask A Mod Thread ~ FAQ in OP

Always wondered: When a thread is being derailed (e.g.by an off-topic conversation), why lock the thread? This merely penalizes the OP and the other users who may wish to continue with the original discussion. Wouldn't it be better instead to deal with the de-railers? E.g. a warning can be issued within the thread, and if it is not heeded, the off-topic posts can be deleted and those who engineered the derailment can be temporarily suspended from posting in that thread. Or would that be too impractical?

Not at all, and that is what I try to do instead of locking the thread up. Things seem to run smoother that way. On the other hand, deleting a bunch of posts can take a lot of time, so I can see why locking the thread up would be an option. I agree with you though.

Hi!

I know you find back the OP of a lot of H8 thread... But can you do it for all of them?

Because I didn't succeed to find the OP of my "Joo Won Official Thread" (Korean Actor Section). With the cache I only find the page 2 but not the first.

So would you be able to find it for me or do I have to rewrite it all?

I tried to search for it as well, and I only came up with page 2 and 3. You will probably have to write it up again. I'm sorry.

How do u know it's over 50kb and how do you make it less than 50kb?

Well for me, when I save a gif to my computer I click properties and it tells you how big the gif is. You have to re-size it if it's larger than 50kb

This.

I have answered it already

Will we ever be able to play that game where users can roleplay as Idols? I remember you banned it or something on Hallyu8 but I miss roleplaying as Idols. It was fun.

Idol roleplaying?

Well we've given the whole roleplaying thing a thought before and have discussed having a section dedicated for it solely, but we've never came to a final conclusion. We'll discuss the possibilities of allowing roleplaying again and see what we finally decide upon.

Is it possible to request an account to be deleted, so I could make a different account under the same email?

Account deletion will only be allowed if you guys have a very good reason as to why you want to permanently remove your account from the database.

Oh really? Yay~! Please come up with a conclusion!!! Having a section isn't actually a bad idea.

Are we allowed to have member titles now?  :omg:

I see some users with it, or is it only for people that donate?

Sorry for asking again  :._.:

No member titles are still not allowed currently, at least not until the marketplace is up.

I think someone from the staff accidentally granted member titles to users without knowing that we weren't meant to.

Reminds me of my whining about white people.... I'm surprised I didn't get a warning for going out topic and for making no sense.

Anyway, can we have this smiley back? '' jCQ9zCm.png ''
