my reasoning for the dupe ban was this: the other account shared both IP addresses AND the same device, in this instance a mobile device.  not sure how any mod could interpret that as something other than a duplicate account made by the same person.  i banned the account with the more recent creation date.

our rules of appeal state that you have two weeks from your warning date to file an appeal.  since that time period has passed, i don’t think that an appeal will be possible.

i suppose you could message an admin about it, but i won’t guarantee you any change in decision besides maybe a 2nd chance account.

tbh i see where the concern is coming from, and other users have raised the same concern to me.  please do not revive years-old threads on sensitive topics just to post links.  especially when the subject matter of the thread is a celebrity death.  it’s not inconceivable that that might make people upset.

EDIT: @satoori Zee is currently working on optimizing some things since CPU usage is pretty high.  we can only suggest waiting a couple of days for things to sort out.  hope that helps !

certain sections do not count towards post count.  for example, random, events, and awards.  your content count stays the same regardless of whether it gets deleted.

you don’t meet the geographical requirements necessary for deletion, only permaban.

once you permaban, you’re not allowed to make duplicate accounts.  hope that helps!

we typically don't allow other accounts to exist under the same IP after deletion.  is there any particular reason you can't log in?  do you have access to the email?

 could be that their inbox is full  i looked through the settings and afaik there’s no way to completely block DMs, unless it’s somehow configured to their profile privacy (is their profile viewable for all members?)…but i don’t think those two things are connected.

we totally understand how it's discouraging and annoying!  when we look at neg-stalking, we consider whether it was a targeted act by one user using the reputation system to either lower someone's rep or somehow distress them.  since your instance is kind of a small sample size + some of it seems to be unrelated disagreement with content, we don't consider this neg-stalking.

like blue said, though, we do take reputation stalking seriously and will continue to keep an eye out for questionable behavior.  if you continue to notice what seem to be unwarranted clowns or negs, please let us know!!  we will handle it ~
