Does heterophobia exist? And why do gay people hate/resent bisexual people so much

I see sometimes, very very strong disdain and dislike from gay people towards straight ones.

As for bi people, gay people say stuff like bisexuals are more likely to cheat than others and that it's just a phase and  "You'll go back to being straight when you're bored of it"

Some gay people will also refuse to date a bisexual person.

This is all pretty ignorant to me and idgi.

Any thoughts?

I'm gay and would never date a bi girl because we would be too different and I like lesbian girls. I prefer lesbians (and gays) over other ppl but I think it only makes sense. Not any phobia here

I'm bi and I just never understood how some straight and gay people would automatically rule me out of their options without knowing anything else about me. It does make me sad at times. Why do these people think that I'd love them any less because of it? Why on earth would I be more prone to cheat on them? I just don't get it.

I'm gay and I disdain a lot heterosexual people who does not question the society we live in just because they fit the norm. And it means I disdain a lot of people.

Homosexual people, considering what they have to deal with, tend to think more and question more the rules, what people expect from you etc...

But when being gay will be perfectly accepted this will  disappear but I don't think I will live enough years to see that happen even if i'm French.

i don't want to date a girl who likes men :omgwtf:

They would say "omg that guy is hot" often, probably. And them liking guys would just be too much

:imstupid:  So you're both saying that even if it would be the girl of your dreams who would love you from all her heart, you would not date them just because of that? And the fuck really, I would never say to my boyfriend/girlfriend that an other person is hot if I knew they didn't like it. I'm sorry girls, but I just don't understand your point on this.

Errr, every person is different.

Plus it's not all bisexuals like both genders 50/50. There's plenty of bi girls who mainly like girls but only rarely like guys.

It's too much if she identifies as bi, even if it's 20 % guys

It's enough that she thinks about guys being hot. And my dream girl would never like guys because being lesbian is one of my most important requirements

I have been told that I'm just gay but I don't want to be out of the closet or i'm in denial. I don't get it. But from what I have seen some people only see homosexual and heterosexual, at least in my country.

I don't think there is such a thing as heterophobia but do think sometimes gay people dislike or distrust heterosexual people because previous (unpleasant) experiences

I hope that you'll one day realise that there are more important things in life and love than that. Loving somebody is something that should not be taken lightly or dismissed for shallow reasons like that. Non of us really ever date their dream girl or a boy. When reality hits, things like that usually have no meaning anymore. When you fall in love with someone it doesn't really matter what they look like or who else they might like, only the relationship with the two of you will matter at that point.
