daisyj6 258
I hate it when you watch a movie with a friend and they don't fucking pay attention. Sorry I just have to let this off my chest. Idk where to post this thread, so I put it in Random. -------- Two nights ago I watched the movie "Whiplash". I was so buzzed after I've finished it and I just thought "oMG EVERYONE SHUD WATCH DIS!!!1!!" (seriously, I had suuuuper low expectations, but man, this movie is fucking good!). So, today a friend came over and after we watched "Insurgent" (my sister had it on already before they came over), we talked about other movies and I was like THIS IS MY CHANCE, COME ON PUSH IT!! My rainbow talk went a little like this >Me: "Have you seen "Whiplash"? It's such an intense film!" >Friend: "Oh yeah, I've seen an ad on TV once, and yeah it was really intense. It's about music and abuse or something and some guy got slapped really hard lol." >Me: "I know! I swear it's such good movie. Sis watch!! It's about drumming-- and I know totally nothing about it, but MAN it went 10 feet above my expectations! LOOK LOOK it has a rating of 8.6, better than Insurgent with its 6.6!! So good! I have it on my laptop, we could watch it right now!!" *Buzzing with excitement* >Sis: "Meh, it doesn't seem interesting" >Me: "The movie is about pushing yourself past your limits. I swear you'll change your mind if after you've watched the movie! Come on let's watch! :D :D" *puts on* >Sis: "Let's watch it on TV, it's bigger" >Me: "Noo.. Okay.. I have to find the HDMI wait a minute" *Movie starts* I was like, Man, I'm gonna prove y'all wrong!! BUT THEN. Not even 3 minutes into the film: my sister on the phone playing Hayday and Draw Shit, friend talking about Bean-Boozled Jelly Beans laying on the table. My friend was really annoying, he kept asking when he's gonna get beaten, and I was like "The movie isn't about abuse only, keep watching. >:(". My sister then distracted me by saying "if u eat this jellybean I'm gonna watch it", so I ate, almost puked-- I did everything so they could get a real taste of a masterpiece. I was trying reallyy hard to keep their attention onto the film. "PSHT, HERE IT COMES!"--"This is important!!!"--"if u don't keep watching, the tension won't build up! It's ur fault u couldn't feel the explosive tension I felt. Don't blame the movie when didn't understand bcus u didn't pay attention!!"-- and they're all like "yeah I'm paying attention, yeah, just this part is a bit boring" Like 5 mins before the ending (this was THE epic moment I was waiting for!) my sister said "it's not that exciting", so I just-- "*Sigh* Let's watch another time-- or watch it yourself... if u wanna of course.. This isn't working if u don't watch :(" and I shut it off before it ended.. They didn't even complain T-T Except my friend, but he can eat shit! Maybe I overreacted-- because there were a lot of distractions. It wasn't dark, my brother came and persuaded my sis and friend to play agar.io, so my sis was like "I'm multitasking dunworry I'm still paying attention", my mom came back asking what if we're hungry, then my dad asking where my lil bro is and kept talking... ;__; I just felt really disappointed. Idk why, I mean they don't have to watch it of course... and opinions differ.. but I just wanted to share my excitement... I just wanted to share my love... so give some in return.. Anyways I'm never gonna watch movies with them again. My dad is the only one who is a decent movie buddy.
Miyami 642
Lol, very recognizable. When I was psyched about movies, my friends/family will say 'ok lets watch it' but after 15 mins they are either playing on their phone/sleeping on the couch/talking nonsense to eachother if we need groceries for dinner... Noone gives a fuck about the movie and i'm sitting there like . Nowadays I only watch movies by myself.

Hqnnik 1,528
Exactly. We just wanna share our happiness and that's what we get. It's the same thing with my mom because when Sonamoo came back I was ecstatic then she said "You should be studying. Is your studies more important or Sonamoo?" And I was like " But kpop is all I have left of my happiness..." Because I'm suffering from depression, so I got so pissed off. I gave up on my sis, because she has so many friends and I have none to fangirl with. It's irritating seriously...
daisyj6 258
Whiplash is getting some rave reviews. I should go watch it too YES YES U SHOULD!! I skipped it many times because the plot didn't seem of interest to me (I'm a Sci-Fi fan). But I just thought, okay just this once, because it has so many good reviews and I got nothing else to watch it's prolly something good-- THAT'S RIGHT. (we just met, but we could become friend in an instant I swear I was in your situation too!). Girl, I don't have anyone to fangirl with except a friend I only see at school-- because noone in my family knows I like Kpop-- it's a long story. I wish you strength! Keep on loving Kpop. :D T_T and then they have the nerve to ask "What's going on? Or how did this happen?" WELL IF YOU PAID ATTENTION TO THE BIGGER SCREEN.......................! HELL YEAH. My friend went to the 'toilet' for like 10 minutes and came back friend: :"wutdid i miss"--- FUCK U.
