NJttW Rep “Release extended to 5 weeks… Surprise clip to be revealed on Sept. 22â€

CJ E&M announced on September 21 that NJttW clips will be released over a period of 5 weeks. “Initially, we mentioned at the press conference that we planned to release 20 clips over 4 weeks. But because of the nature of internet contents, we’ve been editing and releasing it flexibly, going with the flow of the plot. After going through the production process, we’ve got more footage than expected. But the exact number of clips has not been decided yet.â€

Meanwhile, at 10am KST on September 22, Ep 16 will be released in order to help viewers better understand the plot development of the games that started in NJttW. It’s a clip of dragon ball acquisition mission where the monsters who failed to obtain the 1-star dragon ball tried to obtain it again.

‘New Journey to the West’ has surpassed Na PD’s expectations

New Journey to the West

Variety program ‘New Journey to the West’ which is headlined by Kang Ho Dong, Lee Seung Gi, Lee Soo Geun, and Eun Ji Won, has been a runaway success with fans despite it being only made available for online viewing, and Na Young Suk PD has stated it has surpassed his expectations.

 

As of last week, the total number of views for ‘New Journey to the West’ have surpassed 33 million.

 

With regards to the program’s success, Na PD stated, “I never expected any program of mine to be successful or reach my expectations, during the planning phase. The program is produced by the whole team, and we can only wait until the time it airs before knowing whether the viewers like it or not. ‘New Journey to the West’ achieved a really good result from the start, and the number of views have been increasing dramatically with each new episode. It has totally surpassed my expectations.â€

I'm really crossing fingers for season 2. Please, this time we need a happy ending.

 

Ho Dong frustrated me, but he's at my father's age, and I see his struggle with tecknology and my struggke teaching him. Just hope he'll study more for -if there ever be- season 2.

 

I wrote a long rant in SeungGi's thread, but somehow, my msg wasn't sent.

 

It was super funny, everything was good, but the guy's wishes broke my heart (except Choding lol). Happiness is something that can be given, but hardly felt when the reason for sadness persists. It's true that people who smile a lot are the most in pain

SuGeun wishing to go back in time, well, he can't change that end (of his career then) but he can have a new beginning, hopefully, we'll see him regaining his throne as one of Korea's greatest gagman.

HoDong's wish is so sweet, exactly what every parent wishes for.

The long-awaited travel reality show produced by NA PD with local subtitling will be aired on channel M starting from Oct 10! Wanna know how Kang Ho Dong, Lee Seung Gi, Eun Ji Won and Lee Soo Guen survive in their 5D4N trip in China Xi’an? then RMB to tune in TMR @830PM (HKT)!

I'm glad they made it, I don't think NJttW 2 will be done so soon, Na PD has 3mad to supervise, perhaps when fishing village ends and they'll take a small break before Seo Jin and Taecyeon's vers. they'll do another season.

I so glad, like @Melody said, if the show continues its success, there are chances, it might last like over flower series, it's stil on-going since 2013. I want them to kidnap SeungGi the day of his discharge. As for now, if there'll ever be a fourth member, I want Kim C or MC Mong. It's true that SeungGi was the most comfortable and so was the one that "led" the show, but that was because the others were still scared of people's responce. LSGeun had just made a comeback, KHD was new to letting go and relax and Ji Won was still holding back from the unnecessary hate he got after genius. Girlfriday is a known SeungGi fan so are are most commentors, they might be just sad he can't join, or think that perhaps since he's the monk so his presence is crutial. I'm sure many people will tune in. They still have 1n2d bond to sell and it's by Na PD. And this time it'll air on TV(?) will it be on tv? Hope someone subs it!

Breaking news, the newest member is Ahn Jae Hyun. I'm dissapointed, it's supposed to be based on 1N2D s1, they chose someone who's not even used to varieties. Where's my Kim seonsaeng??

Wonder how they cut brand names and stuff, it'll be kind of boring! The "name 7 brands" is one of the best games.

Well they did air a TV version on Channel M previously... and what they did was bleep out brand games or cut the scene altogether. When it comes to games, they bleep out brand names and blur them out when they could. There was a scene where Jiwon was whining about his Simpson Lego House and I think that scene got cut out too...

 

It was just pretty much the same as it was in the internet version but got stitched together.

 

I wonder if tvn version would include new scenes though.. That's something to look out for.

 

They better unclude new scenes, like when JiWon and SeungGi went to the market and any other scene that would make us happy.

Season 2 will premiere via naver tvcast on April 19, and on TVN, April 22.. According to an article I saw there'll be differences on the online and TV version. ^_^

 

Why not just airing it on tv! Or on tv first to not lose viewership ratings/viewers interest  Thanks for the news

The first season's airing schedule is today and next friday. There's more footage, Tryp96 uploaded the 1st ep if anyone wants to watch it, hopefully they sub the additionnal clips. Na PD, I love you

 

There was also a meeting between Seung Gi, Ho dong, Su Geun and Na PD a day before Seung Gi's birthday. They recorded an audio file with some video. Everyone sang for LSG farewell songs and Na PD cutely told him "Seung Gi-ya, anneong", then Ho dong praised him and even gave him a birthday gift. Someone have to translate/sub it for me/us.
