On the July 15 episode of MBC’ s “ Radio Star,â€

Super Junior’ s Kim Heechul, Choi Siwon, Leeteuk,

Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Yesung joined Kyuhyun and

the rest of the show’s MCs as guests.

 

During the broadcast, Yoon Jong Shin asks, “Is

marriage a sensitive topic for the members after

Sungmin got married?â€

 

At this, Kim Heechul says, “There was some

miscommunication between the members when

Sungmin got married. Some fans already knew and

were protecting him. From the perspective of fans,

it was disappointing to learn about the news through the media.â€

Leeteuk adds, “If you are an idol who gets love from

fans, I think there are aspects where you need to

also give back. The timing of when you say things is important.â€

Kim Heechul then confesses, “As a hyung, I am

sorry to Sungmin about some things. I thought a

member’s wedding should be a happy occasion,

and I’m sorry that I didn’t take care of him more. â€

“I sent this letter with my heart carefully and heavily. Everyone, I have met a special someone and will be married to her on December 13th. It hurts me that many of you were confused and surprised about this sudden news.


This is something that I was supposed to share to my precious friend and people who love me, my E.L.F.s, but I am sorry you all had to know through media while I was trying to find a way to tell you myself.


Honestly, I have been spending a lot of time by myself prior to making my decision so that I could find a way to tell you this news and because of my people around me. Its not that I feared my decision, but I was worried about everyone who might hear or get surprised by such rare happening. It’s a little late, but with the love and belief that everyone has given me, I send this news myself.


I want to thank everyone and tell you how much I love your support and love through my growth. I want to sincerely thank  everyone who has helped me and who believed in my decision including my members and my company. I will from now on make sure be a Sungmin that repays to love you all have given me.â€

What's wrong with being honest. I personally also think SUngmin could of handled the news better. I'm glad he's happily married but I think he should of taken a little more consideration like informing his manager and leader. It sucks but yes there are people he has to answer to. I think if he would of been upfront about it, the information could of leaked out slowly. First dating for a few months and then the marriage months later. 

There would of still been butthurt fans but maybe the opposition wouldn't have been so aggressive. 

 

As long as SJ are supporting SUngMin now, that's all that matters. Maybe Leeteuk did disagree with SUngMin but he doesn't seem to be affected by it now. If SJ got over being surprised by the marriage then fans should too

what actually was calling my attention is that part when heechul said "some fans already knew and were protecting him"

Kelf found out in end September. It leaked in news + officially got announced bc no choice in mid October.

 

They weren't protecting him; they were scolding him all over the place if you can read korean. They were protecting the group in the sense of not leaking it in english due to comeback period.

And he beginning by mentioning talking about it like Kangta or Heejun.

 

Let us not jump and hate Teuk cause he does have a point. The timing was a bit off, it was all of a sudden

It is not like he is scolding Min or something. They all even said Min and SaEun are living well and that they should.

I saw on twitter some exaggerating Teukie's words.

 

 

And Siwon is suspicious. Some's up right there.

How convenient it must be to forget that someone leaked their relationship, wedding date, wedding invitations, etc. Go post some more shoe pictures, Teuk. It'll make you feel better.

Am I supposed to believe that they wanted a copy of their wedding invitation that was folded down the middle spread around on the internet?

 

Sungmin's a private person. Did peope close to him know? Yes. Did fans close to him know? Yes. Could he have handled it better? Absolutely, yes. But the way things went down clearly wasn't the plan, or he and the members wouldn't have reacted the way they did. 

 

Everyone has their own view on the matter. Ours clearly differ, and that's fine.

I knew talking about Ming's marriage is a bad thing. It's such a sensitive topic that shouldn't have been brought up. And now even ELF are taking sides. I'm a Ming stan but I'm not entirely hating on what Teuk said. I'll agree that the timing was really bad but it's not like Sungmin meant for it to happen and I'm not blaming anyone but it was really handled poorly. And I have to say that it is Sungmin's private life and fans aren't entitled at all to know everything he has to do. If he wants to get married then fans should've accepted it with no questions asked.  I was only hoping that the group had supported Ming more through all this last year. But let's just be content that it's all in the past now and that SJ's bond is just as strong as ever.  :)
