Previous Poll: Best Movie of May 2015 Releases

 

Compared to the first one I created, there will be some changes.

• The poll will be for the previous year's films because you may have seen most of them by now.
• Movies will be listed in ALPHABETICAL order
• A limit of 8 films will be highlighted because some months see up to 10+ new film releases
• To see which make it on the list, box office numbers, rotten tomatoes, and imdb ratings will be counted towards a ranking system
• With the above system, movies will be ranked from 1st to 8th. Just because a movie ranked #1 in the ranking system, doesn't mean it was the best movie.
• I will list the movies which didn't make the list.

Honestly every year we get at least one movie about the Muslim terrorists. I don't know if it's the producers that lack creativity or the people who actually go and watch those movies that lack a fully functioning brain

The best one for me was the purge

 

It did really well at the box office (I'm shocked) and it was well received by the "critics" but yeah, I saw it and it was crap.

 

Same! I thought the Purge was awesome but maybe it was because it was the only movie I actually watched in theaters. Planet of the Apes gets a solid second for me.

Honestly a lot of these movies were shit, I don't even know how Hercules even ranks on this list. I guess that is just how big Dwanye Johnson has become. All of his movies do relatively well. Hercules was on of the worst adaptions I've ever seen, the CG, the tired story that wig! NO. I might watch Boyhood when I get the change, though I don't know if i'll like it. The whole documenting your entire like as a child until adulthood kind of creeps me out, especially because who would consent to that? Lucy was a tragic mess. NEXT. 

 

I think that Planet of the Apes and The Purge: Anarchy were the best.

I have been meaning to watch like 4 of those movies since they came out

I only watched Boyhood and Hercules of these so I'm not really qualified to vote I think :'D

 

Boyhood, for me, was a disappointment. It was itneresting to see the actors actually grow up on the screen, but storywise? Meh... (Way too long too btw imo)

 

Hercules on the other hand was better than I expected. Probably because my expectations weren't high (AT ALL), so yeah. It was pretty amusing. Not awesome but okay.
