He preformed with them at SMTOWN Week back in 2013, and was definitely a trainee, but he was never revealed as an official "SM Rookie" and its unclear when exactly he left (most likely late last year or earlier this year)

 

He's older than all the official members so that might be why he ended up leaving~

He appeared on some VCR for SMRookies, he was a trainee since 2008 on SM, since the SR15B group is debuting soon, my theory is that he wasn't chosen to be on it, and with that number of yeas of training, maybe he had no other choice than leaving
