Do you ship yourself with your enemy?

As the bible states : Love your enemy-

Matthew 5:43-48

You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect

Who do you consider to be your greatest fear, can you forgive him or her?

(is this a strange question)

In this passage, Jesus instructs his followers in the "spirit" of God's Law, namely, "Love your neighbor as your self".

(Leviticus 19:18)

Jesus gave the same answer to those who were trying to trap him in his teachings,

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself". (Matthew 22:37-39)

Therefore, those who love God ought also to love their enemies because the spirit of God is LOVE (1 John 4:8) and the bottom line of God's Law is LOVE. (Romans 13:8-10)

Sometimes, that's easier "said than done" but,  LOVE, ( as opposed to fear and vengeance ) is a defining difference between those that follow God through the LORD Jesus Christ, (John 13:35) and those that follow another.

Hope that helped.   :)
