How successful was Beast

Good question which I don't know the answer. LOL

They certainly did not flop... I don't know how to measure their success. They did decent in everything nothing headline-worthy, I guess, but just the fact that everything in the album was written, composed & co-produced by one member would be the one that stands out.

Junhyung is still a rookie as far as producing albums so I don't know what Beast was trying to achieve this comeback since they did not prioritize appearing on music shows that much and just traveled back and forth from japan - korea the first 3 weeks during their promotion period. They appeared on Mcountdown twice only, on show champion once because of the concert special. They did their first radio show on the 3rd week of their comeback. Weekly Idol is the only variety show that all members appeared in so far. Their hello counselor episode will still be aired this monday.

Hopefully, Junhyung learns a lot and continue to make music from here on and be consistent since he has potential with songs like Caffeine, Black Paradise, Shadow, WYBA, I'm Sorry and I am a Man...

I'm amazed at how Beast puts their trust in him. It's not easy to transition after being successful from hits made by S. Tiger during the first 3 years of their career.

I thought On Rainy Days and Fiction charted better, didn't they?

Fiction peaked at 5th on Gaon chart

On Rainy Days peaked at 3rd

After that all their ballads or pre-releases always charts better than the actual promoted title tracks

Ok, both are very successful. On rainy days is higher on the chart, but I always consider Fiction their most successful song since it's the title track.

Hyunseung gif in your sign is so cute  :ahmagah:

I think Fiction got them them most Kpop fans while ORD got them more public recognition.

4D hyunseung is always cute!

decent

but they sure dropped in popularity this year

both physical and digital sales doesn't meet my expectation

not their fault

CUBE ruined a chance to push them higher in 2011,and continue the half-ass promotion last year and this year, with 1 year hiatus

and during their hiatus, they weren't even active in Japan

they were not at that level to come back only once each year and still expected to do well

i am so disappointed in CUBE because they are my favorite boy group
