Honestly idk why she debuted. She's been with Cube for awhile as a vocal trainer I heard.

I agree but at the same time that was the worst time to come back. The Brave Brothers thing got old real fast too. At least with S. Tiger, each comeback was distinctively different.

So from this video it looks like Cube's main building or practice spaces at least are next to Cube Cafe which you can see outside the window in background. Was always curious about the exact location. I hope they're investing some money from the merger in a new building like FNC's.

JK Space isn't a subsidiary to my knowledge. It's a group started by Cube's longtime director of training. Whether or not he still works for Cube remains to be seen. The Legend is basically made up of male trainees that didn't make the cut for BTOB or M4M. There's one Chinese member and the other four are Korean. We'll know more once they actually debut I imagine because this company was just established too.

So JKspace is like "Hong CEO separating from JYP to form Cube" version 2 right?

Sure. Former influential employee leaves and takes trainees who couldn't debut with him. We don't know extent of connection between the two companies just yet though. Jaehyun could still be director of artist development for all we know and this is a side thing.

Waaah they will make their deut with Beast' comeback then?

Hopefully. I wouldn't put it past Cube. Its getting harder for groups outside of the big 3 to stand out even for second tier companies like LOEN/Cube/FNC. A Pink was able to get a lot of publicity and fans through being in Beast's videos and promoting at the same time as them. Having the girls feature in BTOB and G.NA's videos seems like a start. Its also nice when a group debuts to have a senior promoting to help guide them.

I thought they won't debut this year since Cube didn't announce it in their plans. But looks like the plans changed, I hope they'll debut successfully

Having set on their goals to be listed next year, Cube Entertainment will place even more emphasis on planning skills for their artists. First runner for 2014 would be soloist Rain, who will be making his comeback to the music industry in January. After his comeback, G.NA, Beast and 4minute will follow suit while more focus will be given to rookie group BTOB’s promotion activities. Cube Entertainment also plans on providing more composing or acting opportunities to each artist. M4M - SINA INTERVIEW: I AM A GAMER

 

Since debut, M4M has strongly captured the attention from people, apart from their handsome looks that are full of sunshine not only acquired tons of love from many fans, but they also earned a nickname as “Asian Idol Boy Group†with their high quality music. After one year after debut, M4M are now guests at Sina Games and they are chatting about their colourful lives with Gamers.

 

 

Want To Gain Recognition After Debuting For One Year

 

Sina Games: As your one year anniversary arrived, what kind of comments do you have for your performances in the past year?

 

Fang Yilun: I think this past year was about adapting and learning, and hopefully in the coming year, we can achieve even more; and not let down the company and our fans.

 

Sina Games: What kind of hopes do you have after one year?

 

Jimmy: Hopefully everyone can witness the growth of M4M in every stage. We don’t expect us to be approved by everyone, but we just wish that everyone can see that all four of us are changing and improving.

 

Sina Games: Do you still reminisce about your training period in Korea?

 

M4M: We reminisce a lot! We miss the times where all four of us train together every day, working hard together, and all the moments where we became super close like brothers.

 

 

Enduring Hardships To Strike

 

Sina Games: There were little news about M4M at the beginning of 2014, are the members busy practicing or preparing for the new album?

 

Fang Yilun: We are both practicing and preparing for the new album concurrently, apart from that, we are also trying out to other new areas of entertainment like the movie/TV industry (acting). M4M is enduring hardships to strike.

 

Sina Games: When there are fewer performing opportunities, did you feel lost? How did you adapt to these situations?

 

Yusheng: Actually yes, but gradually we got used to these situations. Opportunities need to be grasped and we have to adjust our mentality to be prepared.

 

Sina Games: Fang Yilun filmed a drama and had a photoshoot by himself, are the other members jealous?

 

Fang Yilun: I think this is a process where everyone works hard to improve together to bring M4M forward as a whole. There might be also opportunities for the other members in the future and not for me, so hopefully everyone can grasp these opportunities.

 

 

Yu Bin Is Actually A RMB (Chinese Yuan) Gamer

 

Sina Games: Usually when you don’t have work, do you play games?

 

Yu Bin: When we have chances, it’s M4M’s official entertainment, hehe.

 

Sina Games: Among the four of you, who is the King of Games?

 

Yu Bin: Depends on the game, but we’re all good. Yusheng plays the most, sometimes I spend money for games, Fang Yilun will focus on one game (to beat it), while Jimmy is the most casual (just play whenever).

 

Sina Games: Do you have games in your phones? What kind of games do you like to play?

 

Jimmy: Yes, WeChat games, Sudoku, 2048 and etc. Alen and I like those puzzle/logic and skillful/competitive games, while Yusheng likes those games with things like leveling up, killing monsters and getting equipment. Binbin plays all types of games.

 

 

Continuing With Both Korean And Chinese Paths

 

Sina Games: There’s a Korean version of «Sadness». Will there be bilingual versions (Korean and Chinese) for your new songs in the future?

 

Fang Yilun: Korean version is a important component of our album as the Korean and Chinese version brings listeners different emotions, so we won’t give this up in the future.

 

Sina Games: What kind of plans do you have in the future?

 

M4M: There will be new work within the movie/TV industry (acting), as well as the new album which everyone has been anticipating for a long time. Please anticipate a lot, we won’t disappoint everyone.

Yeah whoever came up with M4M didn't do their research  . 4 seems like such a small number to me. Wish they had included Zhang or Qinfen at the time. They rushed Alen's training to debut too. The footage Jihyun posted was from the old music video she filmed.

I wish people would stop beating around a dead horse. A Cube is a subsidiary but under its own CEO whereas Cube DC isn't. They obviously interact once in awhile because everyone is friends but anything under "United Cube" will not include A Pink or Huh Gak.

 

About time they did this. Last time we had Exciting Cube TV was three years ago and there was just Beast, 4Minute, and G.NA. Hopefully there are English subs.

That makes me think there will be short clips of each artist versus long extended episodes but we'll see. I really like the Exciting Cube TV format. It guess its unrealistic since there are so many artists in Cube now versus the three back then.

Well that post pretty much shattered any kind of delusion there won't be interactions between groups it seems....

Not necessarily I think. Some of the actors are relatively unknowns so I'm sure it'd make more sense to show interactions.

I guess its a start for Cube. Hopefully the quality improves with more episodes or maybe some fanbases will sub over if the clips are this short every week. I'm hoping its not just interview format like how it was with Jihyun at the end. Exciting Cube TV concept was perfect. We got to see behind the scenes of all the artists.

Ugh M4M should be included in any China activities Cube does. Like missed opportunity to have them open for 4Minute in Hong Kong for example. Jimmy was even there...

M4M isn't in Cube,..?

Yes and no. They were sent to Cube for training from a Chinese company that deals with Cube's promotions in China. That company still holds auditions to send trainees to train in Korea with Cube. M4M's debut album was produced in Korea with Cube producers and staff.
