I'm looking at the numbers thrown out in the JYP merger thread and if I'm reading it correctly:

JYP 2013 revenue: 27 Million USD
Cube 2013 revenue: 22 Million USD

JYP operating income: 1.6 Million USD
Cube operating income: 2.3 Million USD

I don't think these numbers include A Cube, Music Cube, Big Hit, or J. Tune though. JYP's is projected since we still have 3 1/2 months left in the year. I don't know if Cube's is projected or how they've been doing this year up until the merger. JYP expects their revenue to double and operating income to go up 10x next year

*clueless*

Okay I looked up some if the financial terms I didn't understand and it makes a lot more sense. So operating income is how much they made after expenses and wages but before taxes. For some reason I thought that meant operating cost which is why I didn't understand where the rest of their money went.

Did cube earn more last year? or this year?

So I did a google search.  This picture was for a cause called "Heart for Eye" for High Cut's April 2011 edition.  Cube never released a statement of why Hyunseung wasn't present.  It would be nice if they officially did a Cube family photoshoot, except realistically that won't be possible anymore with all the artist they have under their umbrella now.  Timing is everything.

Yeah... Really very hard to have that one pic...

I don't know but cubic sensei did say about them being in that new jyp boy group...

I hope papa hong releases his plans for the rest of the year just like how he released a message about Beast recent comeback in May...

Let's hope for announcements soon...

The apink fan before was saying that "if Cube artist will get more acting roles in the future and apink barely got any he would know the reason."

lol. It's not like CUBE would hinder all opportunities for Apink so that Cube artist will benefit more. He should know that the merger would likely put up lot of opportunities for cube artists in the future... It's not like Acube would be left out.

Who doesn't?

Just posting someone's view on the partnership:

This is really interesting.

  • This is the end of Cube as we know it.

         iHQ gets 50,1% shares.

         Universal  Music keeps 11%

        Hong Cube keeps 28%

The question is: who holds the remaining 10%? Banks  I guess.

  • Cube gets paid for the 50,1% in convertible bonds. Safe investment on both sides. In a way they both get a way out if things don’t work.
  • What do they have to gain? Everything.
  •          Cube offers:

       very diverse music talent portfolio

top notch great training and  recording facilities

interesting and long term music connections.

  •          iHQ offers:

       powerful distribution network throughout Asia

       proper PR and marketing professionals

professional visual media production know how

  • Bottom line: they both get more business opportunities

Is it a good move? Yes it is. Both on financial and marketing levels.

wow.! I like all comments except the first one... haha

CEO Hong is really doing great decisions... No wonder he was able to put up a still growing company for 6 years..

I thought they did some sort of stage in Korea before leaving to promote in China, I must have remembered wrong.  That's an interesting thing to do and change their hair colour then if they're just promoting in China.

I also thought they did live performances in Korea... LOL.... we're two clueless person...

I  saw a thread saying BTOB should just disband.. WTH.

I seriously hate the spirit of this forum sometimes... it's like a bashing forum for any other group besides SM or something...

lol at the OP of that thread. saying their physical sales so low so they should just disband....and what's w/ the tagged contents beast and btob...

that's the reason I don't want to make a topic and post on any other threads except cube related stuff...

How many fansigning events did they have???

Roh Ji Hoon and Goo Ja Myung join celebrity soccer club 'FC MEN'

         roh-ji-hoon-goo-ja-myung_1379747042_af_o

Roh Ji Hoon and Goo Ja Myung's performance on the soccer field at the recent 'Idol Star Athletics Championships' impressed so much that they've now been recruited to the well-known celebrity soccer club 'FC MEN'!

FC MEN's goalkeeper Lim Byung Han announced the news on the 20th, tweeting, "Futsal match was the best. Look forward to the new FC MEN members Roh Ji Hoon and Goo Ja Myung."

The news isn't a surprise considering both 'Birth of a Great Star' singers used to be part of the National Youth Soccer team. Roh Ji Hoon and Goo Ja Myun will be joining members of JYJ (Junsu leads the team), B2ST, and 2AM as well as actor Lee Wan and Sei Ji Suk.
