It's just rumors anyway and I guess it has spread now. lol especially since I heard from backtracking tweets, MBLAQ's contract is going to expire soon? I'm not sure.

I'm just posting what I've been seeing on twitter anyway.

I hope not. They barely can handle their current artists

I remembered a thread made here about them going soon so yeah... I agree with everyone that Cube is not in the right position to add anybody into their current roster of artists.

Not really. I believe it's a good move if they added a promising group into their current rosters

I just think that Cube will have a hard time adjusting Beast schedules as opposed to Gna's coz I'm pretty sure they have japan activities lined up and they did mention that they were planning for an asia tour so I'm not sure.

You're right. They're planning for an Asia Tour & 3rd Japan Tour in the 2nd half of this year.

I have a feeling that they might be releasing a new album in June

it seems like it happened out of the blue...?

Taejoo did say after the teaser was released that they rearranged it to give off a different feeling.

but they were trying a different approach for this one by releasing a MV teaser first with #guesswhocrap

If I'm not mistaken, they just casually released cover versions for good luck & beautiful night out of nowhere before.

^ probably why I thought it was a release coz they had all those teaser stuff going on.

yeah Good Luck by Changsub. idk about Beautiful Night tho. I've never heard anyone do it from Cube unless you meant this one...

oh, I thought there was a cover version for beautiful night too from cube's artists.

I've finally tried to compile Cube artists' sales (downloads + physical sales).

Here's what I've done: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ro7Xd5Nknu8an9lNB_S6EMeUguIn78hSajlgyp3hstc/edit?usp=sharing

Beast has been shared already in the above post. :)

Interesting tho, I never thought LA Song actually did that well. :derp: It's the 2nd most download song in Cube/Acube after Mr. Chu based on those visible numbers ofc.

From the ones I posted... Most download song in CubexAcube

  1. Mr. Chu - Apink
  2. LA Song - Rain
  3. Break Up to make up - Huh gak & Eunji single
  4. 12:30 (still charting) - Beast
  5. Red - Hyuna
  6. Good Luck - Beast
  7. Whatcha Doin Today? - 4Minute
  8. Luv (still charting) - Apink
  9. No More - Beast
  10. Good Morning Baby - Apink

And Move/You're So Fly was a flop /sorry... :._.:

LA Song didn't do that well in the beginning but after he performed it on music shows with a veteran trot singer, Tae Jin Ah, the song managed to climb up the charts. It did help in terms of longevity.

Rain and Tae Jin Ah form 'BiJinAh' for 'La Song'

Apink is on top of almost everything in A/CUBE related besides physical sales, which their 2nd album last year is also very close to Beast's 2nd album(what happened to 12:30's sales?)

can't say I am not proud of be their fan, especially they are under the subsidiary that doing it all by themselves

1. it's a 2nd comeback. Senior groups tend to not do that well in terms of sales for 2nd comeback. Just look at b1a4 sales for example. You may argue it's a mini vs a full-length album but it doesn't make much of a difference anyways because only fans would buy the physical albums. It's different for rising groups like bts, vixx, a pink etc because they still gaining new fans. They had more fansign events too http://ttp://onehallyu.com/topic/3691-hanteo-sales-thread-full-2014-top-100-updated/page-127#entry4398367

2. 2 weeks promotions with 3 fansign events. Promotional cycles & fansigns play important roles to boost the sales. A lot of fans haven't bought TIME yet (I'm one of them but that's because I don't want to :hurr: )

3. Their best selling album is good luck with 130k+ copies, not TIME

can't say I am not proud of be their fan, especially they are under the subsidiary that doing it all by themselves

ahhhhhh....congrats :imstupid:   :imstupid:

[Herald Financial] Cube Ent, Revenue â‚©7.7Bil… 22%↑ from last year

Posted on November 11, 2015 by loveindacube

  • Revenue: â‚© 7,717,650,000
  • Operating Profit â‚© 650,230,000
  • Net Profit â‚© 702,800,000

Note:

  • Compared to Q3 2015 (same quarter last year), Revenue increased by 22.4%
Compared to Q2 2016, Revenue increased by 45%
  • Revenue (accumulated up to Q3) is â‚© 16,386,850,000 (15.5% higher than last year same period)
Operating Profit (accumulated up to Q3) is â‚© 1,005,760,000

Cube Entetainment expressed, “In the first half year, due to a one-off fees for SPAC merger and other listing processes, the operating profit had seen a loss. If to take that out, the Q3 position of the company is extremely positive.â€

On their Q3 Financial Report, “As a result of active promotions of our main artists and revenue generation from other new businesses, as compared to first half year where we focused mainly on rookie artists, in the 3rd quarter, Beast, BTOB, Hyuna and other main artists are actively promoting in and out of Korea.â€

“Recently, BTOB, which houses trendy idol Yook Sungjae, have been gaining strong domestic fandoms and CF love calls. Their successful Japanese activities further adds to a better results. In addition, CUBETV which was launched on 1st July this year have been seeing revenue generation, thus facilitating a stronger growth in revenue.â€

Meanwhile, Cube Ent plans to have over 20 overseas concert in the 4th Quarter for their main artists. Cube Ent also expressed aspiration to see a stronger revenue from video production business (ie CUBETV). Furthermore, the establishment of Cube Japan, Free-Duty Merchandising agreement and China Local KPOP Academy launch, shall see a positive increase in coming performance.

CEO Park ChungMin expressed, “After our first year report announcement, we promised that Q3 will see a turnaround, and we have fulfilled that promise. In the future too, in order to meet shareholders’ expectation and trust, we will focus on accelerating our efforts for Cube Ent to be a robust industry player.â€

[Hankooki] Cube Entertainment, Q1 Revenue increased by 13.7% compared to last year

Cube Entertainment has announced on 15th May that the revenue of the 1st quarter (Q1) has increased by 13.7% to 3.8361Bil Won. In the same quarter, operating profit has fallen by 20.8% to 0.33497Bil Won, which gives Cube Entertainment a net loss of 2.07181Bil Won.

Cube Entertainment expressed, “The increase in operating costs was due to one-off fees incurred for the merger with WooriSpac2, and had no relevance to current year’s real performance. The performance level in Q1 is not worrying. Moreover, if the commissions and listing fees were not included, Q1 profit would have a healthy performance as to Q1 of 2014.â€

A total of 2.3Bil Won of these expenses do not have an effect on the company’s cash outflow, thus fully reflecting the performance in Q1. As such, it is expected that Cube Entertainment will have an improved performance from Q2 onwards.

Currently, artists of Cube Entertainment will be holding overseas activities more actively, thus, there is a higher expectation on this year’s revenue.

Last month, BEAST held Hong Kong fan meeting as a start, and will start to hold performances from May onwards, in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Also, they are currently coordinating schedules to enter into the Chinese lands. 4minute had charted #1 for 10 consecutive weeks on China’s largest music site QQ Music KPOP Albums category, thus showing potential success in China.

Meanwhile, BTOB had recorded sales of their Japanese album by 100k copies and had even held concerts successfully. Moreover, member Yook Sungjae who starred in ‘Who Are You – School 2015’ will certainly boost his star status, which will seemingly be able to contribute a large portion to Cube Entertainment’s growth.

Furthermore, iHQ, the largest shareholder of Cube Entertainment has recently form alliance in the broadcast media industry. With the synergy it can potentially bring and the advancement to foreign market, Cube Entertainment will be able to diversify its operations, as according to Cube representative.

CEO Park ChungMin expressed, “Q2 onwards, Cube’s main artists BEAST, 4minute, Hyuna, BTOB and more will make their comeback one after another. It is just a start to Cube Entertainment’s performance,†and, “With our merger with WooriSpac2 and listing on KOSDAQ, this year would be a year where Cube moves in the direction of becoming a leading KPOP entertainment,†he emphasized.

Please take with full credits.

poeple have been saying that it's because a Chinese company invested or bought the shares for 100 billion won. idk if that's real. let's hope for the best

Cube Entertainment to possibly obtain Chinese investment worth $80 million

A Chinese investor may be investing generously in a possible partnership with Cube Entertainment

It was reported recently that Cube Entertainment's parent company, C&M, had held several meetings with a Chinese investor. The company provided little additional details on the matter.

According to online media firm Money Today, the investment could be worth up to 100 billion KRW (approximately $80.7 million). After stepping up music copyright protections in July of 2015, China's music industry is expected to witness sizable changes.

Agencies such as SM Entertainment and FNC Entertainment have already partnered with Chinese investments, with many more agencies to follow.

What are your thoughts on the rising partnerships between K-pop and the Chinese music industry?

and now i understand why g.na wasn't included in the macau show at the very beginning. she made her choice and i'm done defending cube. everything flopped since 2012, beast would too if Good Life didn't lay their hands on the album's production. amen for that.

beast was at their peak in 2012

I don't think so

Isn't 2012 when Ceo Hong got sick too? Then 2013 happened and Beast's popularity took a hit.

yes

& beast managed to bounce back in 2014,  but then 'YeY' happened last year

it's going to be crucial this year

Goodlife only produced The Day You Rest and Dream Girl on Midnight Sun. Plus 4minute was still doing well with Volume Up.

Good Life (okay they weren't using the name GL at that time yet) took part in producing Midnight Sun. i mean if it wasnt for GL, Beast would have gotten bad songs and would flop. i dont think Beast flopped, not even once, in fact they spiked (music-wise), whether or not the fans like Shadow or YeY their music quality is getting better and better.

everything means 4M and G.NA, and management and whatsoever

it's a matter of perspective

I'm not an expert

I'm not a music expert, so I'm not going to talk about their music quality

but I prefer their old releases

But GL produced Goodluckand Time which they are the biggest success for b2st, didn't they?

the biggest success for Good Life

Fiction & ORD were their biggest hits
