That's pretty big goal there... lol

I have no doubt their operating income will go up if they're debuting 4 groups and opening a branch in Thailand. They just really seem sure those groups will make enough money right away to double their revenue.

Well, they have a whole year (2014) to reach their goal but those come with expenses too...

Jolene just cleared some stuff up. I confused myself.

2012

Revenue: 22.9 Billion

Operating profit: 970 Million

2013 first half

Revenue 7.8 billion

Operating profit: 480 million

I think operating profit is revenue - cost?

yep... after operating income then minus all the taxes and all.. then we get the net profit, right? idk... :._.:

Yeah its confusing. You have to think that net profit is after the artists have gotten paid too. I think this shows that Cube makes a decent amount of money but they spend a lot too.

I guess it also shows what Cube's priorities are... I guess...

I hope they'll get bigger and bigger...

Just randomly stopping by to post this picture I stumbled across.  I'm assuming it's sometime before 2011 so it doesn't have all the artists under Cube.  I wonder if they have an updated one, anyway, here it is.

The project photo shoot for “HEART FOR EYE†can be found on the 51st High Cut magazine sold on April 21st 2011 - http://fycubeent.tumblr.com/

No there isn't. Mario would be gone from the new one but they'd need to add BTOB, Roh Jihoon, M4M and Rain.

Okay I looked up some if the financial terms I didn't understand and it makes a lot more sense. So operating income is how much they made after expenses and wages but before taxes. For some reason I thought that meant operating cost which is why I didn't understand where the rest of their money went.

Can someone tell me again how Jay Park and 2eyes might be affected with this partnership?

We might see more promotions from them and collabs with other cube artists, is that it?

They'd have access to Music Cube's producers although Jay kind of composes himself or uses his friends. They might get more international appearances since Cubes more connected in the music industry. Collaborations or UCCs is just a possibility. Might happen might not.

The rumor is they're re debuting with two Chinese members. Hence boy group 1 and 2.

what? I thought they were doing pretty well as a duo?

They had one of the best digital performance for a rookie boy group last year, right?

Oh well...
