4Minute’s Jiyoon Cast as Female Lead in Web Drama

 

 

 

4Minute‘s Jiyoon has been cast as the female lead in an upcoming drama web drama called “Dreaming CEO.â€

 

“Dreaming CEO†is a web drama funded by the Small and Medium Business Administration Board. This will be her first official acting project since her debut with 4Minute.

 

In the drama, Jiyoon will portray a bright and strong-willed food blogger who inspires the protagonist (played by Baek Sung Hyun) with her personality.

 

“Dreaming CEO†will a romantic comedy drama consisting of six episodes, aiming to inspire young entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams.

 

On her participation in the drama, Jiyoon announced, “I am very happy and excited to be part of such a meaningful project for my first acting role. I will try my best to show a different side of me as it is an experimental and unique drama.â€

A Pink Fan Café Membership Reaches 100,000 Mark

 

 

 

Girl group A Pink has celebrated reaching 100,000 members on the act’s official Daum fan café.

The group released a statement through its official Facebook site, explaining, “We have finally reached 100,000 members on our fan café. We want to say thank you to all the fans who are always with us. We will keep trying our hardest in the future.†The girls also posted a screen capture of the momentous occasion. Membership of the online community continues to increase, however. At the time of writing, the café has 100,643 members.

 

The fan café was launched in January 2011.

A Pink is currently appearing in a reality TV show called “A Pink’s Showtime†on the MBC Everyone channel. The show airs on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.  Check out our recap of the show here.

Rain Shows Manners by Being Considerate of Height Difference with “My Lovely Girl†Female Co-Stars

 

Recently revealed photos of singer-actor Rain on the set of SBS’ drama “My Lovely Girl†captured his “manner legs,†as he takes into consideration the height difference between him and his female co-stars, including f(x)‘s Krystal, actress Kim Hye Eun, and Dani of T-ara.

 

On September 24, the drama’s production team released pictures from the September 13 filming day, in which Rain can be seen being considerate and standing with his legs spread apart, in order to lower and match his height with the actresses in the drama.

 

According to their profiles, Rain stands at 185 cm (~6 ft 2 in) tall, while his female co-stars are all around 165 cm (~5 ft 5 in), which leaves about a 20 cm height difference between them, making it difficult to catch both of them in the same cut/frame.

 

It has been said that Rain continuously displays his “manner legs†throughout filming to make it easier for the other actresses as well as the crew members, as he is much taller than all of the female characters in the drama.

 

Meanwhile, “My Lovely Girl†airs every week on Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS.

A Pink’s Campaign For the Construction of a Lou Gehrig’s Hospital Exceeds Target Donation Sum within a Day

 

On September 26, A Pink collaborated with WEGENERATION to campaign for the construction of a hospital specializing in the treatment of Lou Gehrig’s disease. WEGENERATION is an organization that aims to raise awareness for diseases and disorders by teaming up with celebrities for promotion. They started the campaign for Lou Gehrig’s disease after the wave of Ice Bucket Challenges that swept the world. For this particular campaign, the organization teamed up with A Pink.

The members of A Pink have already participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge, and recently decided to join the campaign to aggressively raise more awareness for the disease. Many fans seemed to have participated in this campaign, as they have already surpassed their target donation sum of 1,000,000 Won (approximately 1000 USD) over the course of a day. Any additional donations will also be added to the total sum, which will later be given to the Seungil Hope Foundation.

The campaign will continue until November 7.

BTOB’s Yook Sungjae and A Pink’s Chorong Share Their First On-Screen Kiss in “Plus Nine Boysâ€

On episode nine of “Plus Nine Boys†that aired on September 26, Kang Min Gu (Yook Sungjae) and Han Soo Ah (Park Chorong) went on a sweet date.

 

It was love at first sight when Min Gu fell for Soo Ah. After persistent attempts by Min Gu, Soo Ah finally opened up her heart to him. They finally went on a date as an official couple and Min Gu even ran back to her home after she got off the bus.

However, it wasn’t always enjoyable for Soo Ah, as she was lying to Min Gu about her age after failing the college entrance exam three times. Despite her age, she calls Min Gu “oppa†(a title given to an older male by a younger female). Unlike the ecstatic Min Gu, Soo Ah continued their date full of anxiety.

 

 

During their cute library date, they shared a special moment in a corner. Swept into the moment, Min Gu impulsively pulled Soo Ah in for a kiss. This served as Sungjae and Chorong’s first on-screen kiss, and raised anticipation among fans for the next development in their realtionship.

BTOB Tops Hanteo’s Daily Album Chart with New Album “MOVE†source

Male group BTOB is off to a great start with their latest mini album, “MOVE.† After releasing the album on September 30, it immediately shot to the top of Hanteo Daily Chart, leaving behind Teen Top‘s “Exito†and TaeTiSeo‘s “Holler.†Hanteo Chart combines sales figures from various online and offline music stores, and it is regarded as the most accurate chart of album sales in Korea.

“MOVE†is the group’s fifth mini album, and it consists of six tracks. The title song, “You’re So Fly,†is an energetic song that showcases the members’ producing skills.

The song was composed by members Minhyuk and Ilhoon, and the rap was written by Peniel.  BTOB will have their first comeback stage on KBS2TV’s “Music Bank†on October 3.

Q: A few words on the part you're playing, Oh Joong Ki?

Baek Sung Hyun: Despite the fact that he's just starting his own venture, the reality of his situation is tough. In the middle of this difficult situation Goomi appears. It's a work that hold the message that I'm still young, that I will take on challenges, and that at the same time I can be great at work and at experience love.

Q: A few words on the role you're in charge of, Goom?

Jiyoon: Goom is a positive girl and she somewhat delivers that positive message to (Baek Sung Hyun) oppa. The role of Goom is to help oppa find his bright side which I find difficult.

Q: How do you feel about your very first acting challenge?

Jiyoon: As of now, there are still many aspects I'm not familiar with so I plan to learn as I challenge acting, learning from Oppa and learning from the staff as well. If I'm given the chance, I would like to keep acting. But for this to happen, I must be given the chance of course.

Baek Sung Hyun: Right. I really hope that Jiyoon keeps acting in the future.

Jiyoon: Waw~

Baek Sung Hyun: She delivers sensitivity and emotions especially well too.

Q: Were you on a bakery 'meokbang' date?

Jiyoon: Ah..I really ate a lot. There was nothing about eating more than necessary in the original script, it's actually Oppa who kept suggesting ideas naturally.

Baek Sung Hyun: And yes. The bread was delicious.

Q: To viewers?

Baek Sung Hyun: I believe that you will be able to watch the drama on the internet, do watch a lot! It's a drama which aims to make the bright, busy youth who are having a hard time smile.
