We might have to request some. They haven't gotten even a group one yet. Do you know how to go about doing it? I'm lazy to look it up. We could make a voting thread.

I don't know how though... I'll see the award voting thread and see how it works... I'll have something to do... I'll check on it when I come back..

How is M4M doing in China? Are they popular there?

Nobody's been able to find any sales so its hard to tell. There's no YouTube or Twitter too. They're nowhere near EXO-M's level yet though. EXO-M has about 2 million followers on Weibo versus 50,000 for M4M. Sadness has about 5.2 million views and WYLM has about 3.2 million views on YinYueTai. Its honestly just based on personal opinion. I don't know too much about the Chinese market but they're on variety shows all the time. That's their way of promoting because there aren't weekly music programs. Sometimes the shows let them perform and they've rarely gotten their song cut. They even get to perform WYLM or Perfect sometimes too. From what I've heard, Happy Camp is one of the more popular variety shows and they haven't' been on that yet whereas EXO-M has.

might be able to give us more information about this but apparently this guy is coming to Cube in October for two months of training. His name is James Jirayu Tangsrisuk and he's a 93 liner.

James Jirayu has planed to go to Korea for training "dancing , singing and acting" at Cube Entertainment this Oct - Nov. This news comfirmed by P'Pik (James's manager).

They have planed this for a year. There is a rumor that he will have a fan meeting in this December.

I don't think its to debut as an artist under them though since he's already an actor in Thailand. I've been doing some digging around and Cube's actually had a few foreign trainees in the past who went back to their homeland to pursue careers there. I thought perhaps they got tired of trainee life and left but its looking more and more like companies pay Cube to train singers/actors for them because they don't have the resources to do so. This is picture of a Thai soloist named Waii with G.NA. There's no confirmation that she was a Cube trainee but the background looks pretty familiar.

This guy is Chen Xuedong. He was training at Cube in 2011. He even performed in the Stars Party. I thought perhaps he was suppose to debut with M4M but they actually said in an interview that he was never part of their training group. He's pretty popular in China now apparently after some movies he appeared in. 2.8 million followers on Weibo. BTOB hung out with him when they were in China.

What Rain Has Done Since His Discharge

bi-rain.jpg?w=600

Since he was discharged from military duty two months ago, singer and "Full House" star Rain has been very busy.

He spent the first weeks of his free time visiting his family and made a trip to his mother's grave.

For his first public appearance, he traveled to Thailand to perform at the Sonic Bang festival. The August festival featured many famous international musicians including Epik High.

The fact that Rain was performing led many fans to assume that he was making new music but his agency, Cube Entertainment said he was not working on any new music for a while.

"He is not working on a new album", said an agency representative. "As he was recently discharged, he will take a break and then start working on new songs."

He took his next trip to China primarily because of a cosmetic brand that he is promoting there. In Shanghai he was again asked about his future plans.

"Nothing is certain yet," he said. "But I will come back with a new drama or album soon."

That drama might be filmed in China.

"I am meeting with several Chinese directors," he said, impressing fans with his fluent Mandarin. "And I hope to see you again very soon."

Although he became involved in a few scandals while he was in the military, he left on a positive note. He was discharged as scheduled cleared of all charges.

The latest scandal involved his job as a military public relations officer. It was said that he did not file the necessary paperwork for his position.

He was also implicated in the scandal that brought down the Defense Media Agency and eliminated the special celebrity recruit status assigned to actors and singers. He was seen dining off base with singers Se7en and Mighty Mouth's Sangchu. They were later caught going to an adult massage parlor, but by then Rain had gone home.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Defense, Rain was cleared of those charges. Se7en and Sangchu were punished and reassigned.

Rain began making plans for his post-enlistment career before ending his military duty. He signed on with Cube Entertainment, which also represents 4Minute, G.NA and Beast.

At that time, Hong Seung Sung, the president of Cube, said, "You will soon be able to witness the beginning of Rain's second wave. He has already shown his potential by becoming a world-class entertainer and his future holds no limits."

JYP Entertainment was Rain's previous agency. Hong said that when he worked at JYP he was one of the first to recognize Rain's potential.

CUBE Entertainment Forms Strategic Partnership with IHQ

Major K-pop agency CUBE Entertainment and Korean actors’ management firm IHQ have built a strategic alliance, taking a shot at the No. 1 global entertainment company.

CUBE Entertainment sold 50.01% of its stock for 16.5 billion Korean Won (approximately 15.1 million U.S. Dollars) to IHQ to consolidate the strategic partnership, CUBE announced in a statement Tuesday.

CUBE’s president Hong Seung-seong, the former manager to giant K-pop producer, secures his existing stake of 28% and is set to invest 2 billion Won (approx 1.8 million Dollars) to IHQ’s convertible bond by means of intensifying synergy between two firms.

Universal Music, the formerly largest shareholder of CUBE, holds 11% of CUBE’s stock, explained the K-pop agency which has been considered as No. 4 in the market following so-called Big 3 —SM, YG and JYP Entertainment.

CUBE Entertainment is a home of K-pop idols 4minute, BEAST, G.NA, BTOB and comedian Kim Ki-lee, including K-pop big name Rain in its subsidiary firm CUBE DC.

Hong Seung-seong, who had discovered K-pop talents J.Y. Park and LYn, is one of the co-founder of JYP Entertainment with singer/producer J.Y. Park in 2001, producing numerous stars such as, Rain, Park Ji-yoon, 2PM, 2AM and Wonder Girls.

IHQ’s president Jung Hoon-tak stepped into the entertainment scene as a manger of K-pop legend Cho Yong-pil, scouting and training idol group god, one of the first-generation boy bands.

Korean hip-hop musician Jay Park and rookie girl group 2EYES are currently active as IHQ’s artists, while the firm is set to introduce a new boy band this fall.

IHQ also takes charge of Korean star actors’ career including Jang Hyuk, Hwang Jeong-eum, Kim Woo-bin, Lee Sang-yeob, Lee Soo-hyuk and Lee Yubi.

This is good news, right? And Jay Park in it... I want another jay park - gna collab!

I think so, ....I mean they can now easily do a lot variety shows....

But cube only have 49.99% shares, so they are like under IHQ now?

Universal music still has 11% of shares.
