I love how so many APink fans are treating APink like the next big thing after one good single.

Sorry to break it to you, but APink is still far behind 4Minute in both popularity and name recognition. Maybe its the fact that you practically see Eunji and Naeun on every single variety show day-in, day-out, but their recognition as a group is pretty low.

NoNoNo might have done well as a single, but Secret Garden wasn't successful enough both digitally and physically for anyone to so quickly draw predictions of overtaking 4Minute anytime soon.

 

While APink is probably the second girl group breakthrough act this year behind Crayon Pop, lets not get ahead of ourselves and set ourselves up for disappointment. Personally I doubt APink can replicate the success it achieved this year with NoNoNo, but lets wait till their next comeback before jumping to conclusions about its potential. 

 

I see APink as a group that is somewhat is similar to Miss A - one popular individual member (Suzy and Naeun) and faltering group.

i feel like the discussion has already stopped,and i dont feel like posting here again but since you bring it up

i'd have to post here

put it in spoiler for those dont like to read my posts regarding other CUBE artists

 

 

 

i never said Apink already surpassed 4minute,i have always mentioned Apink at the same level as After School,Girl's Day,etc

i understand 1 hit song doesnt make you popular,you have to do well consistently

that's why i said Apink need to do well or even better next time to get up to next level

 

but you are wrong on multiple things

what Eunji and Naeun proved that different are their individual popularity actually benefit Apink as a group a lot

unlike many other popular idols,Eunji brings a lot people interested in Apink,same as Naeun

 

what is different with 4minute is,their public recognition as a group already shot high with Hot Issue,Muzik

Hyuna's solo popularity doesn't do much to 4minute compared to what Eunji and Naeun does to Apink

another thing is Apink has more individual activities for most of their members than what we see in 4minute

i followed 4minute for a while,and Jihyun still cant get decent acting role since debut,and as a group,they dont participate much in variety shows

Apink in comparison,did a lot more dramas,more popular and bigger roles,more known variety shows

 

4minute is closer to miss A than Apink is

i cant speak much for 4minute,but like i said,Apink's individual popularity is actually pretty even

most of them might not be known to public,but each one has her fair share of fans,even the least popular Apink member might be more popular than Jihyun and Sohyun

 

As for digital sales,since 4minute has always been consistently good and never had a flop song

they have upper hand there

 

Physical sales wise,Apink will only get better,unless SME and YGE debut their new girl groups and actually do well and steal the fans from Apink of course

i dont know why 4minute's sales declined that much,but Apink's new mini album has already surpassed 4minute's new one,the drop is very big considering 4minute is a bigger name and has been longer in the industry

and while most of girl groups decline in physical sales this year,Apink improves a lot

 

You can always talk how irrelevant Daum fancafe is,but for new girl groups,getting 7k new fans joining their fancafe 2 months since the comeback is not small thing to easily dismiss

You dont get that many fans with only 1-2 members that are popular

miss A and 4minute would already have top 5 biggest fanbases for girl groups if that's the case

For comparison,the next biggest fancafe for post 2010 girl groups is Hello Venus,still at only 13k,Apink achieved that number 2 months since their debut

That easily shows Apink is the girl group with most momentum going with them right now

NoNoNo still did well on Melon and having some great longevity,did very well on Gaon karaoke chart,Eunji and Naeun ranking high on search engines almost every week,physical sales improves a lot

 

i honestly respect your opinion,the better thing is wait and see how it's going

It has been quite some time right? ㅜㅜ

I couldn’t write one during these time, because of that, cafe activities….. seemed to have dropped a lot. ㅜㅡㅠ

I once again forgotten about my cafe ID (and) password.. And it was really sad ㅠㅠ You know that I miss my loves G.NI’s right?

I’ll be meeting my long time friends to celebrate my early birthday today.

Huh Gak to hold his first solo concert this November

The singer, who is getting married soon, will hold his first solo concert '2013 Huh Gak Concert: THE VOICE' at Yonsei University's Baekyang Concert Hall on November 15-17.

Huh Gak shared, "I will finally fulfill my dream to have a solo concert. As much as this is my first concert, it holds special anticipation and meaning for me. I will hold a concert that will not embarrass myself and my fans."

He has even more to celebrate about as he gets ready to tie the knot with his girlfriend at The RAUM, Gangnam on October 3!

I can't remember where but Alen said they were practicing. I don't know if that entails a comeback. Hard to believe its been 6 months already. I feel like it'd be kind of obvious when they have a comeback because they went back to Korea to film their last MV. They did change their hairstyles though.
