the problem is that they debuted way too many artists than they can handle and promote well

they should have enough money for more promotion if they stopped debuting anymore new artists since Apink

 

5 artists (Beast,4minute,G.NA,Huh Gak,Apink) for a label founded in 2008 should be more than enough

 

then they debuted BTOB,Noh Jihoon,M4M for whatever reasons,and there's rumor they will debut a new girl group again

tell me how can anyone get more than 1 comeback in each year,when most of them need 3+ comebacks

Apink and huh gak aren't even under cube, I'm sure cube artist see them as cube but they aren't even allowed to use the cube facility nor are they part of united cube concerts. And artist can always comeback with a single and gain popularity.

 

i always know that concert,tour,endorsement are the main source of money,not music sales

 

but you are silly if you think UCUBE concerts can fill up more than 5k fans without Beast in the lineup in SEA countries

 

Beast,if i'm not mistaken,have the most endorsement deals for the CUBE artists,and even they can't compare to Big Bang,2PM,SNSD,Sistar,etc

 

and none of the others have a big enough fanbase to hold a successful concert

depends on how well BTOB will be doing,but they wont be successful as Beast for sure

 

the reason why i think Apink has much more upside and potential than every other CUBE artists is they are doing well in dramas,particularly Eunji

when they can get that strong public recognition,more endorsement deals will come,more expensive drama casting offers will come,Apink is already heading into good direction with Eunji shines in 2 dramas,and Naeun getting more popular from variety shows,and eventually,get a lead role in dramas and turn to be popular

and they are building a strong fanbase for female group

 

none of other CUBE artists have any of that

Honestly Apink are doing just as well as 4minute when they debuted and are following in their footsteps tbh. Cuz tbh no one knows the names of the other girls besides Eunji and naeun

it's unfortunately that Apink always makes their comeback during 4minute/Beast's comeback

if ACUBE thought of the competition inside CUBE,there's no way Apink would even come back in July

 

no one even give a damn to BTOB,Noh Jihoon and M4M besides the hardcore CUBE stans

that's the reality of CUBE not giving them material and attention they need

the nugus stay nugu (BTOB,Noh Jihoon,M4M),the popular ones dropped in popularity (Beast,G.NA)

now wait for 4minute's next comeback to see how they will do

i'd say Apink is really close to surpassing 4minute in terms of public recognition,if not already

in Apink,at least Eunji and Naeun are known,and potentially bring much more fans than Hyuna to 4minute

besides Hyuna getting more famous because of her appearance in Gangnam Style,i dont think her popularity in Korea is as popular as people make her to be

4minute would be in a better situation if Hyuna was popular like IU or Suzy,but too bad she isn't

 

people always think Eunji's the only one relevant/popular member from Apink,but Apink is never a group relying on 1 member to get them popular

Eunji alone isn't going to sell 1k album

they do well as a group,their popularity in terms of fanbase in almost even for the top 4 members,unlike 4minute

Eunji is now ranking high in search portals regardless what she does

 

another thing is Apink got more idol actors compared to 4minute

Eunji was never supposed to act,but she got lucky and stole Naeun's spotlight

Naeun's also catching her up with WGM,and if ACUBE's powerful enough,she might get a lead role soon

then there are also Chorong and Hayoung who might try acting later

and Bomi is a MC of weekly idol

 

i followed 4minute quite a lot,but they are about as irrelevant as Girls Day individually

2Yoon flopped,Jihyun acted a few dramas but never get a decent role,i dont hear much from Sohyun

Hyuna's 'known' but never brought her popularity,exposure to 4minute

but Eunji and Naeun's activities actually boost Apink a LOT

 

unless A Pink come back again after 1 year hiatus,with a horrible concept/song,their momentum is going to get higher than 4minute has ever been

they have Eunji and Naeun at their side at the very worst

Yea put down all the CUBE artist in a cube thread, how smart. Idk why Apink is even part of this thread they arent cube. Why are you even in here if your going to bash all the artist except Apink?

 

M4M and roh jihoon are being promoted terribly so i can see why they do bad.

 

G.NA will be back once she returns back to ballads

 

4Minute are getting alot more recognition individually and even had 1000 fans in a foreign country come to their concert and even more outside waiting for autographs

 

BTOB, I think you forgot that ilhoon is also on weekly idol and way before what's her face was, peniel was the host of pops in seoul, and minhyuk has been in lots of sitcoms and drama.

 

Beast is still top 5 which is amazing for a boy group who came from nothing, and you can thank beast for part of Apinks success since they helped them out with promotion. So If that's how you feel about cube get out and crawl back to ur Apink thread.

you make me like a CUBE hater when CUBE's my favorite company in Kpop

 

i like Beast a lot,but i'm not a lurker in their thread since i'm not dedicated fanboy to follow all their activities

i liked 4minute a lot because of their freshness when they debuted,i was a big fan of WG and Hyuna was the reason i know about CUBE and 4minute

Apink is my favorite group of the whole CUBE family and i also like BTOB a bit

 

i'm not putting down all of them,you just said all the reasons why they aren't doing so well,that's because CUBE's in rush in debuting them,and having no room to push them more because of the schedule,resources

 

Beast might be still one of the top 5 groups,but their position isn't safe and might actually drop soon

Since Fiction,they have only come back once in a year,that doesn't look like good promotion to me

 

4minute could've been more popular but CUBE has only started giving them more attention this year

 

G.NA keep coming back with sexy songs that doesn't showcase her strength,and she's not really popular because of her sexiness

 

not to mention the bad business they are doing

 

i have nothing against CUBE,but i dont feel the need to be all positive to CUBE

not all fans should be happy of what their company is doing

No you straight put down all of the artist of cube, there was no constructive criticism whatsoever. And then u acted like Apink has no flaws when they have their anchors holding them back as well. This is just my own theory but Rain signing with Cube DC presents two possibilities. 

 

1. I could totally see Cube pulling an AJ and putting Roh Jihoon in a group. He's talented enough to be a soloist but it's obviously not working out. The market is just too saturated. It's quite too bad he didn't place higher on Birth of a Star. When he debuted it was only after 1 1/2 years of training. Now its 2 1/2. Cube has a few male trainees left that Roh Jihoon is personally friends with. 

 

2. They might go the Rain route and try to land him some acting roles. I could be wrong here but wasn't Rain's popularity just average until he starred on Full House? Roh Jihoon just finished a musical so maybe they're trying to get him some experience first. Seo In Guk's another example. His popularity wasn't really going anywhere until he starred on Reply 1997.

 

me too he's got the looks and charisma just like Kiki but he doesn't have enough vocal talent. cube hardly promoted the boy, but they don't need another group they have enough artist. They are debuting ppl once a year that's too much.

I wanted to discuss something here, but I am afraid that it will get ugly, anyway I am going to try since it failed in the 4minute thread.

Well we all know that Hyuna is going to comeback around October or further, and we all know that her popularity is a double edge sword, as in it brings (not always) more attention to the group but at the same time it also gives the idea of Hyuna being the only relevant member in 4minute. And I kind of wanted to disscus how it really affects 4minute, because I don't feel like it really helps them that much as a group, yes because Hyuna drawns so much attention 4minute obviously gets some part too, but I am not really sure that in the long run is beneficial. Let me explain: We all saw the drastic drop of 4minute sold albums, from 56k+ to 15k+, don't you think that Hyuna having the possibility to comeback each year just takes away the possibility of 4minute to grow their albums sales (I am not saying that Hyuna solo is the only factor, just considering it as one)? Since she is the face/visual, her job is to put the group out there but I feel like it actually gives more attention to her solo career than exactly 4minute. I am not saying by any means that it's Hyuna's fault, beacuse it's not, just that her management isn't really the best considering she is suppose to help the group's popularity, which I am not saying she hasn't btw, but looking at how other visuals/faces of other groups actually help their respectives ones I feel like Hyuna being also a solo artist actually hurts the group more than it helps. Maybe Hyuna's image could have been worked differently as instead of releasing one mini album each year, she could have just released a single or more, yeach year aswell and then it would later be included in 4minute's album as long with maybe other members solo (?) thus helping the album sales to increase. I don't think Hyuna's "solo" should be eliminated completely just that it could be incorporated differently so that it helps 4minute more as a whole not just Hyuna's career.

I disagree a bit. Dropping HyunA's solo doesn't guarantee that cube is going to use that time out of the year to promote more 4minute or that the others will magically get more popular. idk what happened with the album sales drop but all the cube artist have suffered that drop in sales. HyunA had a solo before volume up i mean if she was the reason for that their album sales would have decreased then not a year later. they have beast,G.NA, roh jihoon, BTOB,rain,m4m and and another cube girl group debuting sometime if anything they would develop the younger artist instead. 4minute is a top 10 girl group ppl know who they are but they choose to only know hyuna, the other girls of 4minute do things too and they go on variety shows and things but due to their personalities ppl only really find hyuna interesting I've actually seen several comments on the episode of travel maker when hyuna was absent that they didnt want to watch it because it was sooooooooo boring without hyuna and that they didnt wanna watch cuz she wasn't there. 2yoon proved that, they dont even have 2million views which means ppl even some 4nia didn't give a fack about 2yoon to even bother checking them out or listening to their song. I mean unless 2yoon pulls a sistar 19, jihyun opens up more and gets a good acting gig or Sohyun does something magic I don't see it. i don't see removing HyunA's solo giving anymore attention to the other girls. Even when they are together the screams go to hyuna and all the screen time goes to hyuna and hyuna is always in the front and dressed the best. tbh she's so far ahead of the rest of 4minute I don't think they even have the option to be nearly as popular as her. Hyuna was the most popular member of wonder girls ppl only cared about her from the very beginning.

This is really interesting actually. I just figured this out today but Eddie Shin from Aziatix's real name is Seungyong Shin. I never put two and two together but maybe he's Monica Shin's son? I'm assuming she got the last name through marriage and perhaps Alexander Daeyong is her husband. This makes a lot more sense though. Eddie grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and went to school at NYU. It would make sense for Aziatix to have debuted under Music Cube if his mom is the CEO plus they deal with independent music. I know he's mentioned in an interview that he worked with 4Minute and Beast in the past. I wonder if these 3 make up the last 21% of shares that are unaccounted for. Maybe its split 7% for each of them.
