can anyone tell me when Apink can actually join CUBE concert as a performer.....? :omgwtf:

i always feel ACUBE artists are left out when BTOB,4minute,Beast,G.NA are happy playing together :omgwtf:

in a situation like that,it is hard for me to consider Apink part of CUBE family :omgwtf:

every b2uties,4nias,melodies and g.ni here, are you familiar to ACUBE CEO Choi Jin Ho...? :hurr:

it have been very long that i see apink with 4minute,beast,g.na,btob(except ilhoon) if they are not promoting on same music shows...

did apink even show up with Roh Jihoon for once on tv...?

Seth is a she actually. She's an admin for 4MF from Thailand. She has an inside source at Cube and has been dropping hints about Hyuna's comeback well before she opened an Instagram.

I think A Cube is debuting someone soon too. They've held their own auditions separate frdom Cube and Mario actually isn't even under them anymore. He's composing.

Roh Jihoon would be added to a new group. There's a few male trainees that have been there for awhile. Again its just a theory though.

M4M?

what is ACUBE going to debut...?

a girl group? not possible since Apink is their rising girl group and they need ACUBE's full support

another boy group? CUBE has debuted 2 new boy groups in the past 2 years + 1 male solo

male solo...? ACUBE got Huh Gak already

female solo....? most possible

i'd like to have a mixed group coming from ACUBE

if they play their cards well... they might make it work... and put out a good debut concept for a mixed group then why not?

I actually thought troublemaker (hyunseung-hyuna) was a weird & awkward pair at first but they did way beyond I would've expected...

Btw that girl at the end of Beast Shock (korean) mv... she was a different girl right? was she supposed to debut in apink? coz it was chorong in the japanese version...

Just random question because I wasn't into kpop when it was released...

they just need a good song to work

no one would've thought Troublemaker was that successful

if ACUBE is debuting anyone,i am sure it will not be a boy group or girl group

Male solo is impossible because of Roh Jihoon.

a mixed group should totally be possible,or even a non idol hip hop group

that girl was in CUBE stars party but she's never a confirmed member

she's supposedly to debut as a solo,but for whatever reason,CUBE debuted G.NA

A male group makes a lot of sense to me. A Cube doesn't have one. Male groups have a better chance of selling well right out of the gate than girl groups. Cube Girls are suppose to be under Cube DC (Whatever that is).

how many more boy groups does CUBE need....?

i know ACUBE is not the same as CUBE

but shouldn't CUBE manage BTOB and M4M,Roh Jihoon before debuting anymore new male faces under their name...?

for people who is not familiar to CUBE and ACUBE

they would think CUBE has 4 boy groups if ACUBE debuts another one

i also dont want another idol group under ACUBE

a non idol group with different music style(not ballad, pop) would be better imo

ACUBE got Huh Gak as a ballad artist, might as well debut a hip hop group like Supreme Team/Dynamic Duo/Mighty Mouth

that way ACUBE can develop into a versatile company

or a rock band, but unlikely since rock doesn't work well in Korea

or techno dance group like Koyote,Typhoon

No... that was just me speculating... yeah they lost the lawsuit I think...

Well, Zico and Junhyung are friends... Jaehyo was supposed to debut with Beast but was replaced by Dongwoon (if I'm not mistaken) then Zico & Kyung are acquainted with Minhyuk so they got some connection somehow...

At the same time, I just remembered when Junhyung was still having a hard time with his contract with his previous company and I think Cube helped him out in that department... so I just thought maybe they're doing the same thing with Block B?

would be great to see Block B under CUBE

they has a lot of potential and Zico is really talented in producing

he can work with Junhyung and improve each other skills, and become in house producers for other CUBE artists

are we talking like idol bands here such as cnblue & ft island?

coz if we are then I was under the impression that BTOB in the near future will do that concept because they've been learning to play instruments for members who hasn't really grown up knowing to play them...

They already got Eunkwang for keyboard, Hyunsik for guitars and Changsub for drums but that's already taking all of the major (main/lead) vocalists in the group. LOL

no,a real rock band aka Nell,Jaurim, etc

BTOB can try that concept so it doesn't need another idol rock band

oh... that would be great too... I like rock music too...

but CUBE is expanding too fast that none of their new artists set their feet in Korea

Beast's popularity got stagnant if not dropping now because they hardly promote right now in Korea

and they aren't even active in Japan when they did pretty decent when they just debuted in Japan

No original Japanese single, comeback only once in past 2 years

and their new acts aren't doing so well besides Apink.

Once Beast's popularity completely drops,CUBE will be in complete danger

I'm not sold on BTOB getting to Beast's level of popularity,Roh Jihoon would be lucky if he can chart in top 50 weekly

G.NA need new producers or she will not get back to her debut era

4minute still does well, but they will never get to the top tier level

i dont know why CUBE insists on debuting a new act every year

Beast as a result, suffer the most.

if CUBE did it right,Beast might be getting close to Big Bang's level in term of digital selling power

I noticed how everyone ignored you comment.

It sounded a bit whiny tho, ngl.

So first, Apink has been to a UCube concert, the very first one, actually. It was around the time they debuted and they haven't been to the ones afterward.

Second, you of all people know that they have their own complete individual schedule since they're under Acube's management.  Still technically under Cube, but at this point with people explaining the difference between the actual label and sub-label, not to mention the actual roles each one plays for the group, I think we can leave out the details.

Thirdly, and this one surprised me the most, the whole "Beast, 4minute and BTOB" happily playing with each other is kinda far fetched.  Apink has more interactions with Beast because they have that School Clothes contract or whatever it is.  Beast is so busy they barely have time for anyone.

Apink is also teamed up with BTOB and 4minute in last years idol athletes.

Huh Gak is a grown man and doing well on his own.  He doesn't need the promotions of idol groups or anything like that for his career.

Mario (is he still a rapper?) featured Apink in his video because it was just easier but once upon a time, a long time ago, I think before 4minute debuted, Gayoon was featured in one of his songs.

It's all about convenience when you get into the gist of things.

Yes i sounded a bit whiny

but it's still related to the topic of this thread, since ACUBE is still under CUBE,but with different management

and most other people consider Apink as CUBE artist, that's why i came up with that question

i know Apink has been the first concert, but they only came up as a guest performer rather than being part of the concert

if you look at the promotional poster, you dont see their name or Huh Gak there

so obviously they were not originally included there

i find it weird because if you look at JYPE and AQE,miss A is managed by AQE but they still appear on JYP nation concert, same as 2AM

Apink as a sub label artist, never really seem to appear in the UCUBE activities, including concerts

they might work with other CUBE artists occasionally and individually

but when all the CUBE artists come together,Apink and Huh Gak are missing

UCUBE concert is one case, then something like

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OXKyJX4cQc

the more i look at Apink as a 'CUBE' group, the more i feel like it doesn't sound right to call Apink CUBE artist

i think a lot of Apink fans feel the same way

you just dont get the feeling of other CUBE artists when you follow Apink's activities

one more thing i noticed is that i see a lot of 4minute fans are also fans of Beast,BTOB and vice versa

but i rarely see a b2uty,melody,4nia in Apink thread

that might explain why i dont feel right to call Apink a CUBE artist

Apink isn't connected to CUBE

then when something bad happened to affect CUBE's image, like the digital manipulation, album buybacks, youtube views manipulation

people point their fingers at Apink,it's just not fair imo

sorry for the rant but i hope you understand it

I think part of the reason is they spend 30% of their income on trainees. At some point, you have to start debuting those trainees or they start to leave which means wasted investments. You say their artists aren't "established" but your expectations are too high. Beast's popularity in Korea may be stagnant but they're still the most profitable idol group not in the big 3. You can't expect Cube to hold off debuting any new artists when the market for idols gets worse and worse every year. If anything they waited too long and should have debuted more artists in 2010 when it was just G.NA. BTOB would be on B1A4/Block B's level had they debuted a year earlier. At some point, Beast will enlist and its a lot smarter to already have group(s) already making you money than starting over. SM's doing that with EX and YG with Winner.

Beast's my favorite boy group,so it's hurt to see them going down because of CUBE's mismanagement.

i'm not sure about Beast still being the most profitable non big 3 idol group now

For boy groups,Infinite seems like getting closely to them,if not already surpassed

Since Infinite joined SM,i expect more improvement from them in next comeback

With the way Beast's being managed, i dont feel their position is really secure as you said

i just think A level group + 1-2 artists bring much more than a B level group + 3-4 nugu / rookie level groups to a company

i might be wrong though, but look at Woolim

they are doing what they are supposed to promote their most popular new group

but like you said,CUBE need to debut all the trainees so we need to accept that more idols will come out from CUBE in soon future

I've sorta been out of the loop but if Cube does anything, ANYTHING, to fuck up Beast's status with all these crazy manipulation rumors going around, I'm going to send hate mail.

the damage is already done

people already accused CUBE as a shady company that did all the business under table

first,4minute is accused of album buyback,i believe that's true, because 4minute doesn't have a big enough fanbase to get close 50k on Hanteo chart, then their sales pattern is pretty strange

not to mention their Hanteo number is bigger than Gaon

then their suspicious digital sales this year,i dont think CUBE did anything to their digital sales though

a company need to pay millions for a song to just stay on top 20 for several days, but 4minute's song charted well since the start, and it still chart in top 50 on Melon now

CUBE got no money for that

and if that's easy thing to do,Shadow would be doing much better now on digital charts

and 2Yoon wouldn't flop, same as G.NA's flop comeback this year

and their nugu rookies

then the youtube MV views is also very suspicious,i dont know why CUBE need to do that if they did

if they wanted Beast to win on music programs, they better bought back some albums or manipulate the digital charts because f(x) were doing better in both, and they are also good in SNS points

for every achievement and sales they get, people immediately would get the bad image of CUBE doing manipulation for them

same as every other CUBE artists,or their future artist

then Beast won the Best Artist in Melon awards last year when they dont deserve it

it could be Melon giving it to them or CUBE did something under the table again

Beast got hate instead of praise

i cant with some of the things CUBE has done to their artists,i like their music

but i cant say much about the promotion and marketing strategies

Its the reality of the situation. Whether you personally like it or not, there's still a big fat Cube label attached to A Pink. Its a subsidiary. You going around and trying to convince anyone that says otherwise is pointless. Nobody says Suzy is AQE's breadwinner. At the same time the JYP comparisons shouldn't be used. JYP does things their way. Cube shouldn't feel the need to copy their model.

You're judging this on what, physical sales? For now anyways, Beast still pulls in more from CFs, acting, concerts, and musicals. Its like saying A Pink has surpassed Sistar because they sell more albums and have a bigger fanbase.

Again its a different way of doing things. I don't necessarily think its the best one. Woollim should have learned from when Epik High left and they almost went bankrupt. You don't put all your eggs in one basket. Granted now they have the backing of SM but Tasty is still irrelevant and I can't even name the other artists they have off the top of my head.

i pretty much accept that Apink is still under CUBE and considered as CUBE artist

but i just dont get the feeling of other CUBE artists when i follow them since debut

Apink is like a stepchild, they are related to CUBE in a way but not close

how rare do you see an artist from subsidiary barely got anything from the main label?

i must be the only Panda here talking about Apink, and it really shows how Pandas feel of them as a CUBE artist

no one in Apink thread is fan of other CUBE artists,so it explains

Infinite is obviously the only artist SME wants after the merge

Nell and Tasty are more like fillers they have to take as well

and Beast is losing their momentum, and Infinite is rising, that's why i dont feel right about CUBE's decision

but whatever,i like Beast regardless how popular they are

Again I can tell you're judging this by how you see JYP handles their subsidiaries. Each company does it differently and besides JYP/Cube/CJ E&M, there aren't even that many other companies that have big enough subsidiaries for you to draw conclusions from. FNC/CCM/Good Entertainment are all subsidiaries under the same company. There is no collaboration there at all. A lot of people probably don't even know the connection there.

The couple dozen or so posters in the A Pink thread don't represent all Pink Pandas. I'm a Pink Panda talking about them in this thread no? I follow plenty of users on Twitter that are fans of A Pink as well as other Cube artists.

As Choco mentioned earlier, these posts are starting to come off as repetitive and honestly while I love a debate and discussion, you bring up A Pink whenever Cube is mentioned and its derailing the point of the thread.

because you are a CUBE stan yourself

the first comment i posted about is asking if anyone know when Apink would be included in Cube concert

just curious if CUBE has any intention to bring them over their concert, now i doubt they will ever do it

and i got the answer of how CUBE and ACUBE works judging from your words

sorry but i will never bring up Apink again in this thread unless someone else talk about them

you are really speaking for the minority here though. apink fans want them to go to ucc because they want to see them perform in general, not because they feel like apink needs to be there to show that they are a part of cube. they are friends with other cube artists, collaborate with them every once in a while, etc. like the person above me said, you don't need to keep bringing this up.

they don't need to get anything from the main label anymore. beast promoted them in the beginning, but now apink does fine on their own. you can even argue that eunji and naeun are grabbing more headlines than 95% of other cube artists right now. and you can also complain how other members aren't getting individual activities, but cube isn't producing their own dramas (dream high/ttby) or have comedians/actors (like sm) where they have enough power to just put a member into a show.

when you actually step back and think about it, apink gets a TON of variety appearances - more than 4minute and probably the same amount as beast with this comeback. just because they aren't talked about that much on this forum it seems like less but if you compare it to a lot of other groups.

i didn't mean i'm the only panda here speaking for Apink not getting included in CUBE concert

i meant i am the only panda discussing anything related to Apink in this thread, that's why i came to conclusion that pandas in general aren't fans of other CUBE groups

as you can see the regular posters in Apink thread, most of them are pandas, nugu stans and sometimes sones

you have misunderstood my post,i actually want them to perform in CUBE concert just because i want to see their interaction with CUBE artists, not just for proving themselves are part of CUBE

it's actually good way to promote themselves overseas when CUBE held the concerts In Japan and China

Probably not? Midnight Sun's came out when they were promoting. Can't imagine Cube has any plans for them soon with BTOB, Hyuna, and possibly G.NA coming back.

that's bad though....

this comeback from Beast looks so short to me

what is Beast going to do next?

Highly unlikely? As much as I would love to see that happen (she's great on variety tbh), I doubt they would have 2 members from the same group on WGM at the same time - also breeds competition between the members on which couple is more entertaining.

I see Eunji getting the high profile variety and talk shows cause she is talkative and quite witty and interacts well with actors/idols/MCs regardless of age (Notice how many people she calls "oppa/unnie" vs "sunbaenim/sshi" indicating a degree of friendliness). She's recently been spotted filming Barefoot Friends (even though that show is sinking), but I am getting the feeling that she may be a new favorite of kang hodong.

And Hodong likes to play idol favorites - ie wooyoung, nichkhun, Minho on starking

let apink just become that first idol group lol

i think it's pretty unlikely, but i want Hayoung or Chorong on WGM

Eunji has been other variety shows lately so it'd better to push other girls to the front more

Why can't Cube just put their male vocalists on Immortal song? They got loads of capable vocalists... I just want more recognition for them... :._.:

i am still waiting for the day Eunji gets on IS2

imagine how much more exposure she can bring to herself, and Apink

Eunji at this point is still more popular as an idol actor than as a singer

This is true. I wouldn't mind her being on WGM with Key as a new couple too because it shows her versatility. Koreans obviously know her from Reply 1997 and they at least know she's the main vocalist in her group.

it'd be considered huge if a group has 2 members get casted in WGM at the same time

but i doubt it will happen

Hayoung-sungjae pls don't ruin my Hawoon ship... :._.:

Hayoung is friendly to every male idol i see :._.:

oh,and the fact Eunji isn't even getting recognized for her strong vocal despite her popularity in drama speaks very well of her upside and potential

once IS2 invites her or with Bomi/Namjoo,it'd boost Apink's popularity,by A LOT

l like Eunji's tone much more than Hyorin's,i dont see why her voice isn't getting her shine in that show, and get Apink more exposure
