Song Jieun talks about her disbanded predeb group with Sistar's Hyorin, BESTie's Uji, and EXID's Hani.

On July 3′s episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,†Untouchable‘s Sleepy and Secret‘s Song Ji Eun come on as guests to promote their sweet new duet “Cool Night.â€

 

During the interview portion, Song Ji Eun talks about her time as a trainee at JYP Entertainment. She says, “Back then, I was preparing as a four-member group with SISTAR‘s Hyorin, BESTie‘s U Ji, and EXID‘s Hani. We were supposed to be something like a younger version of Big Mama, but for various reasons we ended up being disbanded, and we dispersed.â€

 

“Wow, Park Jin Young sure misses out on a lot!†remarks Yoo Hee Yeol in amazement. “Starting with IU, and now all these girls are huge stars too now.â€

 

He then asks Song Ji Eun if she’s seen Park Jin Young since then. “I saw him at a network once,†she replies. “He cheerfully said he’s been following my work.â€

 

“He was probably crying inside,†quips Yoo Hee Yeol.

Though its a waste that JYP let these wonderful talents go. Im happy that they found more success and happiness in other companies. ^^

 

Secret, Sistar, EXID, and BESTie are doing good.

 

They could have been a hell of a vocal group tho. Even more vocally superior than Mamamoo. What a waste. :(

I've always thought it was odd too, considering Hani was also part of EXID and Hyolyn is also close with Hani. She would've mentioned her.

wow. all these artists would have really benefited on JYPs popularity, but I think they can consider they've achieved much and have been doing good even without riding the agency's popularity.

kinda sick of people making jokes about JYP because he's let people go who later ended up doing well. No one's destined for fame, so it's not like they would've been a for sure success of they had been in JYP. tons of factors lead up to the stars of today being as big as they are, it's not just as simple as debuting.
