Recommended Posts

after the debut in Septmber they filmed the MV in June and will make comeback in late July/early August..

I just hope they will get more attention because their debut track was so good!

I remember their debut day, they debuted on the same days as TTS came back haha

I've been keeping up with the group since last year, so I'll try to shed some light on what happened.

The whole "debut" situation was... confusing, to say the least.

After the release of the MV and their first mini album, they had a few event appearances, which made it seem like they were kicking their official promos into gear... But the news about them performing on music shows never came, and they didn't have any new events lined up. Soohyun, Hakyung, and Subin opened up Instagram accounts and posted on the fancafe, intermittenly, so at least it wasn't like they completely disappeared off the face of the earth! haha However, before we knew it, it had already become November. Lina was, arguably, the most active member on the fancafe, especially during the weeks around when their MV/mini album were released... So it was a little disconcerting how she was very... quiet.

One day, a K-fan (He's like a "sunbae" fan, who's supported them for a long time) posted on the fancafe about how he noticed that Lina's name was removed from N*WHITE's official Facebook page. Fans were really worried, hoping it was just a mistake or something. Shortly afterwards, Soohyun posted an "announcement" on both the fancafe and their FB page, saying that due to "internal affairs" they would need some time to regroup and would continue on as a 3-member team (without Lina). This was basically the only explanation the members, and the company, ever provided.

As for not promoting after Lina left: I think their company figured it would be less awkward if they halted promotions for "Hello Boy" completely and come back later with a new song, rather than try to continue on and pretend like Lina never existed (...like the whole TREN-D/Elly situation T^T)  ///Can you imagine them giving out their mini album to other idol groups, with Lina's pictures on it? Super awkward, right?/// Because of this sort of "forced hiatus", the members were frustrated and felt guilty... All the fans could do was be patient and  encourage them as best as possible. It was just a difficult period we all had to persevere through.

That's why this comeback is so meaningful!! They've been preparing for months to return --- years(!) for the opportunity to FINALLY debut/promote on broadcasts [N*WHITE technically debuted in 2013, with the digital release of "My Sunshine"] I'm hoping, since they weren't able to take advantage of the hype that was generated after Soohyun appeared on Taeyeon's Hidden Singer episode, the timing for N*WHITE's comeback will at least coincide with the end of SNSD's promotions. It'd be a boost in interest for sure, and the N*WHITE members (all of whom happen to be pretty big Sones haha) will be able to enjoy SNSD's stages ^_^
