EXILE SHOKICHI / Don't Stop the Music

What is wrong with male acts LDH's music videos lately? Any Kpop male soloist could have pulled that kind of music video. I think they can do better than that, and they've done it. Even Back to the Future was cute in spite of its evident series Z vibe (I still cringe at the SHOKICHI+Terminator mashup, tho). The only things I really like from this music video are Shokichi's happiness and his fur thingie. Is this what SHOKICHI really wants for his solo career?

As for the first listen, the song isn't bad, but I think I will forget it from here onwards and not because I want to...  He has fans, he's loved... I'm so fine and happy with that, it's just that I'm not confortable with this thing he has just pulled. As Mandi has already pointed out, I hope the B-sides are better, and I agree ELLY has done a fairly bearable choreo (if not so creative). LDH has to take care of a few things, imo.

It's shit.

The instrumental and his vocals do not complement each other, at all.

If anything, it was the instrumental that upheld the song - not Shokichi.

... and I'm getting pissed off here because for such a mediocre vocalist, he's just indulging in a solo career by dropping anything but creative work. It's just release after release for the sake of money.... don't even get me started with vocal comparisons to Nesmith. He's a vocalist who would really deliver music....

This was the first thing that struck me about the song on first listen. For whatever he's been trying to go for, it's just not good and that's a shame cause I actually really like Shokichi.
