no.

actually, wanting and showing interest in a foreign language is most times sucessful if it happens by own interest as to being shoved down your throat in school

so people who get interested in a foreign language even because of a car, if you wish, i hope they all succeed because it is wonderful to learn a new language as it comes together with it's culture.

wise.

p.s this is my second time seeing someone writing keypop. lol

It's better than learning a random language you have no interest in because you need the high school/college credits  :imstupid:

if you wanna learn a language for whatever obscure or strange reason, go ahead. why should the reason matter? it's your personal choice and it doesn't matter what other people think

so long as you're polite and respectful about it - as in you don't drop Korean words into your English sentences for no reason other than to show off or try to "act Korean" or otherwise show your ignorance by invoking stereotypes about an entire nation of people - then there's no issue

it's more about your attitude towards it than your reasons for it, imo. same for languages in general

+1

unless youre planning on living in korea sometime, its useless and a waste of time

Not if you regularly consume korean media. And you can make many new friends, I've made a few good korean friends who are helping me learn through apps and whatnot
