Speed is everything when it comes to surfing the web, and Huawei has managed to produce something close to perfection.

 

The company and Proximus have successfully completed a joint trial in which they were able to generate speeds of up to one terabit per second.

 

To put it into perspective, that's the equivalent of downloading 33 HD movies in a second.

 

And while the results may seem like a distant dream, Huawei says that it may be possible to build it into existing broadband networks.

 

 

"The purpose of the test was to determine whether this technology can be integrated into the core network, to anticipate the constant and growing customers demand for more bandwidth," it said in a blog post.

 

"This successful trial shows that this Huawei technology could evolve to 400Gbps and even 1Tbps super channels in the future." (Read the full article)

I currently pay 100$ per month for my 15MBPS connection...

 

FUCK CANADIAN INTERNET AND FUCK BELL CANADA

 

WHAT

 

I have Rogers and I pay 59$ for 60MBPS

 

Heck, even the student plan was 45$ and that was 30MBPS for 270GB
